1: When battling a Shark, it takes a full 60 minutes: The last time Chicago and San Jose met, the Sharks didn't put in a full 60 minutes of work. The Blackhawks were down by a couple of goals on two separate occasions, yet still came back to win on the road. Never give up against these Sharks.

2: Make the power play count: The Blackhawks could have won Tuesday's game against Anaheim if the power play was able to convert. Two separate 4-on-3 chances, mostly in overtime, doomed Chicago's chances at earning two points. In their only other shootout loss this month, the Blackhawks were 0-for-5 with the man advantage. Special teams help win games.

3: Beat them with team speed: When the Blackhawks are playing their best, they are moving their feet and moving the puck. We did not see that as much in Tuesday's game against the Ducks. San Jose is not known for being a particularly speedy team. Speed kills, and it also wins hockey games.
