Here are tonight's writeups:

4* Seattle(-3) and 3* Over(190.5) Golden State looks to be an improved team, but Seattle has outright owned this team winning 21 of the last 23 meetings and 12 in a row. GST is just 9-39 SU in their last 48 division games and 5-19 ATS off a home win the last 2 years. They are 2-10 SU last 12 as a dog of 4 or less, 1-6 ATS the last 7 in that role. The series has played over in 7 of the last 8 and 15 of 20 including 4 straight at Golden St. The average points scored in the last 20 meetings was 197. Seattle over 37-12 after a division game the last two years and 23-7 over off a division win the last two years. I am still not sold on the defense of the Warriors, but they do have solid scorers on the offensive side of the ball and I think this one will have both teams approaching or reaching 100 and Seattle's experience edge in the backcourt helps pull out the win.

4* Toronto Under(183) Toronto is a team that will struggle on offense as I said before the Washington game, especially until they get Lamond Murray into the fold later in the year. They don't have consistent outside shooting to knock down shots when the defense collapses on Vince. They now face a Spur team that plays their home opener off a loss to Golden State in a game that they played no defense which is not Spur basketball. The Spur offense isn't exactly in rythym yet either and both teams struggle a bit from the free throw line which also helps the cause. This game should reside in the 80's and play under by 10 points.

4* Memphis(+7.5) I have the Grizzlies slated for a nice improvemnet this season and I have Detroit taking a step back. This is a situation that I look for early in the season when I can catch a dog that is undervalued against a team in transition that didn't help themselves in my opinion with the Hamilton deal as Stackhouse was a tougher player and Hamilton is not a legit #1 guy for a winning team or a team that wants to be one. Memphis has the size to neutralize the Piston strength which is rebounding and Detroit is just 8-19 ATS vs the west the last two seasons at home. Memphis 28-14 ATS in game one of a road trip the last two years and 10-2 ATS if that game is off a loss of 10 or more. Memphis shot only 53% from the line in the Dallas game or they probably win it and they are a much better shooting team than that. Nice value here.

3* Philly Under(176) The series has played under 17 of the last 23 and 9 of the last 12 at Philly with an averge score of 171. The Knick offense is bad WITH Sprewell and without him, well it is ugly. They can't run, they are small, and they can't shoot outside other than Houston. NY is 17-7 under on the road off a road loss in the last two seasons and these two teams are the epitome of ugly on offense. This game may be lucky to reach 160.

3* Chicago Over(183.5) 6 of the last 8 in the series have played over and the Bulls offense is much improved since the Rose trade and they don't have any interest in the defensive side of the ball. This team has averaged 198 points per game combined in the 30 games since Rose arrived and have hit 191 in 16 of the last 20 and 194 or more in 10 straight dating back to last year. New Orleans a little more up tempo without Eldne Cambell lumbering down the floor and this should fly over.

3* Indiana(+7) The Pacers not getting the love here as New Jersey is a solid 17-7 as a HF in this range the last two years, but I think this game will be tight. The Pacers have some guys who are hungry for playing time that are getting a shot with the Miller injury and the Pacers just match up very well with the Nets. The playoff series last year was tight throughout and this should be no different. Al Harrington is back and healthy and the Pacers are improved with the addition of Strickland and Harrington's return. New Jersey offense looks a little unsure of how to use Mutumbo, so will take a shot here as Van Horn was a matchup problem for the Pacers and without him they matchup much better.

Good luck all......Bookie

i agree on bulls/hornets going over tonite, because chi is much improved as is n.o. previous results do not reflect current players... chi is very young and atheletic. pushing the pill all night at any opponent & hornets will be willing to also run with baron & mash! luv the over tonite!

Ummmm, Pacerfan, It kinds of skews the numbers when you leave out these:

4/17/02 Charlotte 112 Chi. 106
2/13/02 Charlotte 113 Chi. 91
1/09/01 Charlotte 102 Chi 95

Like I said 6-2 Over last 8.

No problem.

The keys I think are that since Rose has came over and Artest has left, the Bulls are a much more offensive team. Rose gives them more confidence on offense and Jay Williams as well whikle Artest gave them more toughness on the defensive side of the ball.

Their points per game both scored and allowed have increased since the trade.

BB, great write-ups will add these thoughts

BB, great write-ups will add these thoughts

being in seattle, seems like Nate is trying to reign these guys in, wants to slow pace believe it or not, or so hes said in paper a few times ... Sonix do own GS however; sonix were in trouble entire game vs PHX (w/o Marbury) and had late 18-4 run to seal it and Barry hit 5 stright treys to really help ... so I couldnt bet either side of that one ...

I had memphis over 18 wins last year and followed them closely, and they are improved with gooden and watson and dickerson back ... however, they did shoot 54% from field vs Mavs, they might cover but Im on under, they will see D tonight unlike what the Mavs offer ...

gl, i love the fact you put thought into your games in a form of write-ups ...

On the course!
Nice writes! I like your style.

I agree on the Chi over. They are a much more offensive minded team this season, and these low totals will be moved up in another couple games. Take advantage of them while you can!

It has dropped to 182', and I think it gets at least another 6-9 points over that.

2 unit play over 182' -110

dogface, I sent you an email.

Raz, glad to help out, but we need Seattle and Over to salvage a small loss on the night.

Nice call on the Bulls Under Pacerfan. The game never got going like I expected.

Freaking Knicks are a goddamn joke. 41 point 4th quarter for the Sixers?

Good luck all.....Bookie
