Your comment about Keenan being smarter than Martin. Disagree. Florida is an outstanding(sarcastic) 8-8-1 under his control, boy has he ever done well. Keenan has now coached Florida, Boston, Vancouver & St.Louis in the 6 years that Martin has been coach in Ott. Guess we know who is the better coach.

Did you watch the playoffs 2 years ago against the Leafs, when Ott. lost 4 games to 2? In the sixth game the Leafs won 4-2 but Ott. actually was up 2-0 in that game and then Barrasso decided to take a nap on three bad goals, I know I was there, I am a season ticket holder. They did better without Yashin that year.

Another thing to keep in mind is that jacques has to play with the hand he is dealt. I wish they would get rid of Marshall Johnston, this guy is a dope. On the other hand, Quinn deals his own hand being the GM. This plays a large role.

frere jaques could not possibly have screwed up more. he didnothing to rid yashin of shane corson for four games.he never switched goalies..the goal berezin scored in game two was terrible. however sundin and cujo swung the series. martin was a huge help. keenan wins where ever he goes.his magic,like pat burns works for about two years.then the players get fed up. by the way i have watched sports for over 50 years. come on teeder

bash keenan all you want but at least his .500 record so far is wayyyy better than the previous florida coach.
iron mike might be hated by just about everyone in the league but when it comes down to it, he wins.
makes you wonder though, there are an abundance of unemployed coaches out there currently and some of them with respectable resumes like ted nolan and pat burns.

You still have not answered my question. What about 2 years ago? I did nothing but agree with you about last year. Boy did Keenan ever win alot in STL & VAN. Don't tell me he has been a winner everywhere he has gone othewise he would not be on his 7th team. If you have been watching sports for 50 years you would realize that playoffs are not everything to some teams, that being the small market teams. How else do you explain NFL, NBA & MLB having guys around forever regardless of their playoff success. It is always the large market teams in sports that fire coaches quickly. Twins in MLB & Bucs in the NFL are prime examples. They have done squat in the last 10 years. Sorry the small markets don't have the budgets like Toronto have to work with, I only wish we did here in Ott. Check it, Ott. payroll 28.8 million, Toronto is twice that and more. Still waiting for your response to my ORIGINAL question.
