Wasn't able to get on to post last nite, and from the looks of it, that was a good thing! Actually, I split on the game, but it was kinda crazy.... great game to watch if you like offense though.
Here's what I see tonite:
AKRON Under 49.5 ** DOUBLE PLAY **
UL LAFFERS Under 54.5 ** DOUBLE PLAY **
7 PT TEASER * Single Play *
AKRON +16.5
UL LAFF +10
FH UL LAFF +1.5 * Single Play *
MARSHALL is NOT the scoring machine of the past when they had PENNINGTON, MOSS, etc... In fact, they are only averaging 16.7 ppg on the road and the only two games they've been in that went over this number were both played at home where the HERD are much better. AKRON has rebounded well after a very shaky start, and I think they are about equal to MARSHALL. Can't see why they are nearly 10 pt home dogs, but MARSHALL is much better in prime time and used to being on TV. I just can't see these two getting into a shootout, so look for something around this;
24-20 Marshall at most... probably more like 20-17
Not sure why NO TEX is favored here either, except for past history. NO TEX is again like MARSHALL, not nearly as good on the road as opposed to being at home. They struggle to score on the road on grass, and although I'm not predicting a UL LAFF outright win, I'll take em plus the pts in a teaser at home. UL LAFF averages around 22 a game at home, but 17 of them come in the FH. They hold their opponents to only 8 pts in FH so I'm playing to be leading at HT of this one. They may lose late, but I don't see a blowout.
NO TEX runs nearly twice as much as they throw, so with UL LAFF giving up nearly 5.5 ypr, look for the clock to keep running tonite. I would expect UL LAFF to be up at the half, or at least tied and then it's a tossup in 2H but I'll say NO TEX pulls it out late and the final score is:
NO TEX 23 UL LAFF 21
