In Raymond's thread, I stated Tulsa would be my play. However, I have looked at this game more thoroughly and I think there is much better value in the Underdog.
UTEP can throw the football and should test Tulsa's great pass defense more than any team other than BYU. Keep in mind, BYU did score 49 against Tulsa and I think UTEP can put up some points as well. Also, this is a National TV game for Palmer and I think he has a decent game and keeps the Miners within the large number.
Revised Prediction:
Tulsa 31 UTEP 24
UTEP +15 for 5*... Not really big on this game as Tulsa will kill these guys if they jump on them early. However, the backdoor should be open all game and I'm counting on an inspired effort from UTEP after they got throttled at Houston last week. I'm also hoping Tulsa is a little overconfident as they haven't played a close game since Navy. Going with my gut on this play as the numbers don't look great for the Miners.
