Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving.....still feeling a little fat and lazy, but there's hoops and football going on today....perfect way to recover!

NC State ML -155 over South Carolina. 1 Unit.

People might be down on the Pack after losing last weekend as big favorites over New Orleans. I still think they're a solid team, more than enough to get by the Gamecocks......South Carolina is breaking in a lot of new faces, and while they got a nice win yesterday over Penn State, I they're stepping up in competition a little bit this afternoon. This might be a simple way to handicap games, but South Carolina is slated to be in the bottom rung of the SEC. Yesterday, the beat Penn State, a team from the bottom rung of the Big 10. Today, they play an upper division ACC team......it'll be a tight game, but in the end the Wolf Pack get it done.

Southern Illinois -1 over Miss St.....1 unit.....bought down a half to -1.......always a sucker for this SIU program.....they know how to win and play in your shorts defense.....think Miss St struggles to score.....love Falkner, think he'll be the best player on the court in this game, but I also think SIU's core is better and more seasoned than Miss St's. Salukis feel like they still need to prove their ranking and will go all out o beat a team from a power conference.

NC St game going doing the wire.....c'mon Wolk Pack!!!!

Not sure.....it was -1.5 and I bought it down to -1.....five minutes later, after i posted the pick here, i double checked the lines to review the other mid to late afternoon games and noticed the line was a pick......by this time, we were only a few minutes away from tip......sounds like it closed at +1 SIU.......I dont know what to make of the line movement, regardless I like SIU all the way here.

Syracuse -2, -125.....1 unit.......S'cuse ought to be able to get out of NYC w/ one win.....thought UW was the weakest of the four teams in the NIT semis.......despite their struggles w/ OSU, I still think the Orange have good potential......i think they eventually will pull away in this one.

Dominating second half.....should be tough on Sunday vs USC-MOH winner.....and it will be a brawl next Saturday night in Carbondale when they host the Hoosiers!

Syracuse made me sweat a little there down the stretch, but they managed to pull it out.....man were they playing a little out of control those last few minutes, or what?

Onward, to a play for tonight:

Ohio State -1 vs Texas A/M...1 unit...Preseason NIT Finals.....I see the Bucks pulling this one out. I have been more impressed with them in their run in this tourney than I have with the Aggies.....I still think against an equal or better foe, such as the one they're going against tonight, that the Aggies are really going to struggle as they find their way w/o AC Law......meanwhile, Matta's club have changed dramatically from year to year in his tenure at OSU and there doesn't seem to be much drop off.....they just keep on winning.....dont get me wrong, I doubt A/M is falling off the map this year, but I like the chemistry OSU is playing with right now......both teams are different from last year and so far in the early going the Buckeyes look be farther along in the "rebuilding" process.

Actually, my msitake......I have OSU at +1 tonight.....not a big difference, but all things being equal, just wanted the correct line in the thread!

Wow, Ohio State sure was a stinker.....Aggies looked great that second half....

Anyway, one more the day....West Virginia +8.....basically tailing the wizzard on this play......I do think they have a nice team and Huggins will find a way to slow this game and give the Vols enough fits that this game stays close until the end.
