Tampa Bay/Baltimore--7:05 pm--Archer (Cashner -- it's gonna rain during this game, it could very well be rained out...Baltimore is 12-40 in their last 52 games overall - so they lose a bunch, and after recent trades of key players, will lose even more. The team is dead last on the money list, 29-74 this season, 28% wins, -$4075 if you bet them every game.. So the default position has been, and even more now, always bet against Baltimore. Just blindly doing that every game, it's been a huge moneymaker. So don't bet them Unless you have a super good reason, which I certainly don't see today. Especially with Archer's slider getting better, along with nice mix of pitches now = improving starts he can showcase for trade..tho he is usually poor in Camden Yards...Cashner can be ok at times, but if he is, then his bullpen can easily ruin it all for him....TB and over
Kansas City/N.Y. Yankees--7:05 pm--Keller (Sabathia -- Keller been decent, but can have that bad game...CC been fine enough this season, should be better than that here after his long break and injections for his arthritic knee, is on his bobblehead night, and going against a team that bats very poor vs LHP...but that line is pretty ridiculous (and Yanks are 1-3! in last 4 CC starts where he closed -200 or more), I'm gonna take The Royals and under....
N.Y. Mets/Pittsburgh--7:05 pm--Vargas (Nova -- Vargas been pretty horrible this season (8.60 ERA and 6.61 FIP), and Mets gots some criticism bringing him back after DL/rehab instead of giving the promising kids a chance. Mets send down Oswalt, who pitched to a 0.69 WHIP in his last 3 starts..Vargas did have some really excellent rehab starts last few weeks for the Brooklyn Cyclones, and with Thor coming back soon, he's gonna have to continue to pitch well to keep his rotation spot....Nova been decent, and Pitt playing well but off 2 losses, so I do like Pitt to bounce back and the under.
Washington/Miami--7:10 pm--Scherzer (Lopez -- yeah, this line is pretty ridiculous considering WA has worse record last 10 than Miami and Lopez has had 2 good and 2 bad starts (one was vs WA)...I see plenty of value in taking Miami, but WA does just seem to win and win when Scherzer pitches.
Minnesota/Boston--7:10 pm--Lynn (Sale -- yeah, Bosox in Fenway, coming off a home loss last night, with Sale pitching. I have it at -350 myself.
Cleveland/Detroit--7:10 pm--Carrasco (Fiers -- Indians usually crush Tigers here, and have ace Carrasco starting...Fiers is still getting it done with his 89% LOB rate, and is a showcase today for his imminent trade, so I am on that under, tho usually not take Fiers vs team that can bat like Indians.
Philadelphia/Cincinnati--7:10 pm--Pivetta (DeSclafani -- Pivetta is the better starter here, I do think, he does sport a 3.36 SIERA, needs to get more consistency. His last start had just a bad 1st inning and cruised after that, team more excited now with Cabrera trade...DeSclafani I don't see having the upside. and Phillies playing/winning way better than Reds...so I'm on Phillies...
Oakland/Colorado--8:40 pm--Manaea (Freeland -- wow, Oakland is a + $2106 for bettors taking them on the road (CO and Boston are a distant 2nd at $1517) tho Colorado is 6-2 in Freeland's home starts this season, but he seems to be slipping a bit of late, not good vs these hot Oakland bats....liking the over too
Seattle/L.A. Angels--10:07 pm--LeBlanc (Heaney -- LeBlanc worse on the road as Heaney been finer at home. Both cases vs tough opposition, but those Angels bats of late something else...taking Angels
Arizona/San Diego--10:10 pm--Greinke (Perdomo -- Snakes are smarting after last night, ready to get back with Ace on the mound vs worse team, starting pitcher and bullpen...AZ -1.5 -175
Milwaukee/San Francisco--10:15 pm--Anderson (Bumgarner -- Anderson been better on the road this season, esp in spacious parks like this, and trades have given him an improved bullpen now...Bumgarner always sharp at home after a poor outing...so on the under
Goood luck everyone!! :firing: :toast: :0074 :spotting: :em71: :drinky: :mj06:
