Seattle N.Y. Yankees 7:05 Miranda (Sabathia - Miranda's recent command issues and fatigue not good things to bring into this park..Sabathia off a decent start, who knows if he'll follow that up with another?...I'm liking the over, suspensions of guys like S?nchez will hurt (video caught him sneaking in a punch yesterday, he's hit 9 HR last 15 games), but I assume they'll appeal and play today..That Yankees pen been poor of late too..Cano is out
Mets Washington 7:05 deGrom (Cole - sure, deGrom is off two bad starts, letting in 5 ER each - but that last one was a late inning 3 run Stanton jack, so deGrom was one decent pitch away from a good QS...Cole should be decent against this depleted Mets team (WA bit depleted too, but by injuries), he usually ok vs such teams - so I'm on the under (Zimmerman and Rendon are out)
Chi. Cubs Phila 7:05 Quintana (Eickhoff - Eick should be decent at home, gotta like the dog as Quint been hittable, and phillies are hitting better of late
-- that 3-4-5 core of Nick Williams and Rhys Hoskins, + Tommy Joseph is especially strong. Watch out for these guys!
Minnesota Toronto 7:07 Colon (Happ - Gonz?lez - MN off two losses and is one of 5 teams within 1 game of Wild Card spot..Col?n can pitch the occasional decent game, but Happ is gonna be tough at home, coming off a rare real poor outing. Gotta like Toro's bats of late, but they not worth this price vs MN team getting desperate...
Baltimore Boston 7:10 Hellickson (Porcello - Balt is off a win (barely) haven't won 2 in a row since Aug 6 and 7...Boston off a loss, not lost 2 in a row since July 24+25!..and are 10-2 in their last 12 at home..and Porcello is rounding back into shape as Hellboy the opposite...Balt is 8-20 in its last 28 against winning opponents on the road...Boston for sure!...
Pitts Cincinnati 7:10 Nova (Stephenson - I dunno how either of these up and down starters gonna be today...Reds one of the best teams vs RHP, especially at home...I guess ya gotta think the over, despite those poor Pirates bats, and the dog since it's a toss-up..McCutchen is out
San Diego Miami 7:10 Wood (Conley - Wood out on the road vs Miami, I expect him to revert to form and we not get any QS..but ya never know, both these starters bit unpredictable...Conley just took care of the weak Mets bats, he should do the same at home vs even weaker (vs lefties) SD bats. Should...those Marlins bats are 5.73 rpg last 11 overall..so liking Marlins and mebbe over
Kansas City Cleveland 7:10 Vargas (Merritt - Royals bad vs lefties, so could have some trouble here, Vargas 5.64 ERA and 1.58 WHIP last few months, not a lotta strikeouts either. His last 6 starts vs Cleve all went under. I think he'll be decent today, probably. Merritt not go deep, but that Cleve pen is better than KC even without Andrew Miller....so I do like the under in a tight game
Colorado Atlanta 7:35 Bettis (Teheran - CO only 7-23 in their past 30 road games, they are just about the worst batting team in MLB on the road...Bettis been sharp since coming off DL and Teheran almost always handles these bats, used his newly tweaked slider to keep them off balance other week - so liking that under and CO as Teheran not usually as good at home
Detroit White Sox 8:10 Verlander (Gonz?lez - Verlander all fired up after some fights and ready to deal vs team he always dominates anyway..Gonz?lez been hot recently, tho still gives up plenty HR and not get lotta strikes. with Tigers offense picking up of late, I am on Detroit...maybe under
Tampa Bay St. Louis 8:15 Odorizzi (Wacha - neither these starters the most consistent of late...I think Odo will pitch well, back near his home and off a poor start to bounce back from, Wacha might be decent, but his bullpen still having problems, so I am on TB, but ya think STL should win, coming off some dissapointing losses, hard team to predict - last 10 games they won as dog, small fave and huge fave, and 3 of the 4 times a huge fave, they lost...
San Fran Arizona 9:40 Blach (Greinke - Blach has been Blach of late...but not Greinke, he has over 5 ERA this month! and off a rather poor start. He got an extra day rest, so now at home vs this rotten team (and his team needing wins bad, clinging to playoff spot) watch him pitch a fine one tonight!..AZ RL
Texas Oakland 10:05 Martinez (Graveman - Martinez done well after being sent down, now given another chance, you'd think he'd seize it against a team he always does well against...Graveman not been bad either, but neither have these tX bats, so I'm on TX..
