Hofstra has superior guard play. They will get hurt down low but the guards will be able to keep it close. I also have a small play on the ml..but not posting. This game should be interesting. Many of these players know eachother. Pecora will sit in his 2/3 zone, even though he is a tough man to man type coach. St. John's covors if they dominate the offensive boards. Hopefully, Hofstra rebounds well today.
This is a huge recruiting game for Hofstra. They have been beeting St. John's often the last few meetings. This hurts St. John's recruiting ability and helps Hofstra. This is the biggest game of the year for Hofstra. (obviously not counting playoff or postseason births). Both teams will be fired up but Pecora is a Pit Bull and my money is on him to get his kids more fired up than St. John's.
