Barry Larkin (SS) Cin probably won't start until Saturday, but he will be available for tonight's game, according to the Cincinnati Post. He pinch hit yesterday.
Key bullpen --Joe Nathan (P) SF probably won't be used for a little bit after being roughed up in his last four outings, according to the San Jose Mercury News. "I'm going to have to stay away from him for a couple of days," Giants manager Felipe Alou said.
Junior Spivey (2B) Ari hopes to return from his bruised left rib cage this weekend, but the Diamondbacks will be cautious and not rush his return, according to the Arizona Republic.
The Dodgers are expected to activate Paul Shuey (P) LA from the DL on Saturday not Friday, according ot the LA Times. He's been out with a sprained right knee.
Julio Lugo (SS) TB will join the Devil Rays today and manager Lou Piniella said Lugo could start as soon as tomorrow, according to the Tampa Tribune.
Jays Bullpen key----Blue Jays manager Carlos Tosca said Tanyon Sturtze (P) Tor will set up closer Cliff Politte now that Sturtze is working from the bullpen, according to the Toronto Star.
Mark Kotsay (OF) SD missed last night's game due to a recurring back problem, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. He will have X-rays taken today..doubtful.
Ryan Klesko (OF) SD suffered no serious injuries when he took a pitch off his helmet last night, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. "We think he's OK," Padres manager Bruce Bochy said. ..Questionable

The only reliever Dusty Baker didn't use Thursday was Mark Guthrie, who told reporters afterward that he has tendinitis in his left (pitching) arm. There is a possibility he will go on the disabled list today.
