Milwaukee at CHICAGO CUBS
  • all together now, CUBS WIN!! CUBS WIN!! which is basically all they've been doing lately, ESPECIALLY at home. 16-4 in their last 20 at home, including 13 straight. WOOD has been as invinciple, going 5-0 in last five with 1.85 ERA. His home record is 5-2 with 2.35 ERA. WOOD beat these Brewers twice this year, throwing a 1 hitter while striking out 14 on May 25th, and then going up against HAYNES the next week in MILW and winning 4-3.
  • CUBS are 28-14 after a win, 28-15 in day games, 8-3 on FRIDAYS, 35-19 vs RH, 12-7 in JUNE, and 22-12 within the division.
  • MIL is 14-12 in day games, 7-10 in JUNE, 1-8

on FRIDAYS, 4-9 after a day off, and 3-7 in game 1 of series when coming off a loss.
  • UNDER is 4-1 in last five meetings, 9-1 in HAYNES last ten starts, 5-2 in WOOD's home starts, and 7-1 in HAYNES' road starts.
  • CUBS have gotten their offense going as of late, scoring 5 or more 5 out of last 7 games. CUBS average 4.9 rpg at home, while MILW averages 4.7 on the road.
  • HAYNES' O/U record is mainly due to lack of run support as he has a road ERA of 4.70 while going 2-4 in seven starts. MIL has average 3.70 rpg in his 15 starts, scoring over 4 only 6 times in those games. On the road, MIL averages ONLY 3.00 rpg for HAYNES, and have been held to 3 or less in 4 of his 7 road starts, 3 times only scoring 1 run.

CUBS -170 and OVER 7 -110
[/b]CUBS -1.5 +110 and OVER[/b]*
* Parlay: 1 to win almost 3 units

Lots to digest here, but the CUBS are an obvious play. I've been on them at home since they won their 7th or 8th in a row, and I'll continue to ride that wave. IE made some good points concerning WOOD on short rest, and I doubt if he goes more than six today. Although the number say UNDER, I have a hard time doing that at WRIGLEY with the line at 7.
