Small play here because Dukies being fav. by double digits is scary.
McAllister is having a good yr.Achara at 6'9 and Guden back are tough in the paint.Osimani is a decent pt avg almost 5 apg's.Higgins can stick the 3.
Young has no frontline.Rad at 6'7 is there only threat.Humprey is avg 15 pts.Young on the rd is getting beat by 26,22,22, and 21.They are 1-4 ats this yr and in there last 10 games are 1-9 ats.They can't shoot Ft's and the Dukies have been on the road getting beat up.Home cooker today.Small play

UAB -8.5 over So Bama ***
UAB scores more,rebounds better,shoots the 3 better,etc.Big angle here is steals and uptempo defense.UAB avg's 12 steals a game ranked 4th in the nation.Lyr they were No 1.So bama is ranked almost last in turnovers.So you have a team that creates turnovers playing against someone who has a major problem holding on to the ball.Also So Bama can't pass the ball.They rank at the bottom on assits.Jointer is there best player avg 16 pts.They are not big and that is where UAB is weak.Post play.Jags best big man avg 5 pts and 3 bds a game.So bama also shoots 64% from the FT.They like to shoot the 3's though.But with pressure defense that will be hard.Taylor brothers,Eddins,McDonald,Lewis,etc are to much..

Rutgers +6 over Air Force ***
Think RU can stay with the flyboys and possibly win outright.AF runs there motion offense but RU has 5 gds that can play.RU is a good defensive team that lacks inside players.But AF doesn't pose a problem there.Both teams are even in many catogories.RU has a big rebounding edge but AF shoots better from the FT line.Douby,Webb,Shields and Wiggans are all fast. But AF is ranked No 1 in defense.But RU beat Princeton lyr by 2 and have handled them the past 3 or 4 yrs.RU can play defense vs this offense.And they have enough offense to cause AF problems on defense.

Ohio St -12.5 over St Joes ***
Joes has trouble scoring and can't play defense.They avg 62 pts a game,shoot 41%,hit 3;s at 34% and shoot FTs at 57%.Unreal.OSU on offense is loaded.Dials inside and Stockman outside are way to much for this Joes team to handle.Bucknell just beat Joes,UC Davis,Fairfield,etc
OSU wins this by 20-25 pts.

Iowa -22 vs St Louis ***
Revenge game from lyr.St L is hurting.but they knocked off Iowa in the NIT's.St L lost to SIU by 26, and Zaga by 30 on the rd.The same today.
Iowa gds dominate this game.

Prov -4 over San Diego St *
small play.Gomes and co and Prov's 2-3 zone will drive these California teams crazy.

Creighton -1 over San Diego*
Blue Jays beat XU,Neb,and Mizzou on the rd.They can't win at home though.

Oregon -8 over USC **
Opening PAC-10 game.Oregon beat USC lyr by 18 away and 5 at home.But with everything thats been going on at USC and 2 freshman by the manes of Taylor and Hairston look out.

Illi -5 over Cinncy ***
Great backcourt will outplay the Kats.Lyr they beat them 92-68.Cinncy was 25-7 lyr but just 14-15 ats.On the rd even worse.They were 5-8 the past 2 yrs.Illi lyr was 26-7 and 15-13 ats.not great but 7-4 at home.Cinncy was 12-0 lyr until they met a good oppenent[Louisville] This yr there 9-0 and haven't played anyone.Illi played Zaga,Wake,Ark,Oregon and Mizzou.
