5 Star Orlando +4' over DENVER -- When a team that is on a long losing streak gets to face a below average team, they usually capitalize on the opportunity to end the long streak. Here the Magic has lost and failed to cover six straight games. They have an excellent chance to end this streak tonight. As evidence, the league is 36-18-2 ATS since the 1995-96 season when facing a group 4 or 5 team when they are on at least a four game SU and ATS losing streak. The main reason for the Magic's long streak was McGrady's poor shooting but he came out of his funk in his last game shooting 14-of-26 and scoring 36 points. In addition, the Magic are 10-1-1 their last dozen vs the Nuggets so this is a team they have handled in the past and that should give them some confidence tonight and Orlando is 9-1 ATS since 12-01-2001 when their DPA > 0 four straight. As for the Nuggets, they are 0-9 ATS since 20030204 when they won their previous game as an underdog and 0-7 ATS after a win in which they both attempted and made more three pointers than their year-to-date average. AND the Nuggets are 1-13 ATS since 11-27-2002 when they covered the line by at least ten points in their previous game -- including 0-2 ATS this season. Finally, the Nuggets are 0-6 ATS since 03-07-1999 at home after shooting less than 40% from the field for two straight road games. The Magic is the better team by far AND we are getting a handful of points!! Grab the points and consider a money line play as we feel that Orlando will win straight up.
