Okay

Okay

as usual i like to really scour the early game and see if there is anything that will let get a jump on the games and it just so happens I like this game on both the side and the total:

Pittsburgh +133

the reason my record is so good early in the NL is because of this team right here. the Pirates are going to be contenders this year, the pen is a bot suspect but the offense is not. new additon Reggie sanders is red hot nailing the ball and it helps to have good table setters in front of him in the lineup. This new lineup outscored Cincinnati 24-10 and belted 8 ding dongs! The concern in this game (and the only reason it was not a best bet) was because of Pirate starter Jeff Suppan who was just 1-12 on the road last year. but he had a decent spring 1-0 with an ERA just under 4, and don't forget it was not too long ago he was an ACE throwing for the Royals. He also knows today is an important start for him and his career: "I want to get going, get the season started," said Suppan, who was signed as a free agent after pitching for the Kansas City Royals last year.

On the other hand Roa goes for the Phillies and his spring was not as good as he was 0-2 with an ERA of 4.91 and gave up four homeruns, and that will show up today against the homer happy Pirate line up.

Over 9.5 +105

As good as i think Suppan will pitch today he will give up some runs and Roa will allow a homer or two, and that will continue the streak of these two teams putting runs on the board. Both teams have the over combined at 6-0 and in all six games the total has jumped over ten runs and again another good looking bet but without the umpire until about 5 minutes prior to gametime i can't label it a best bet.

Also will take Pittsburgh +160 to win the series The Key game is the first one especially with Milwood going tomorrow, but i like the other match ups. The pirates win today even if they lose to Milwood they will have Benson in the last game. RHP Jeff Suppan (9-16, 5.32 ERA last year), RHP Jeff D'Amico (6-10, 4.94 ERA last year) and RHP Kris Benson (1-0) for the Pirates; RHP Joe Roa (4-4, 4.04 ERA last year), RHP Kevin Millwood (1-0) and RHP Brett Myers (4-5, 4.25 ERA last year) for the Phillies.

I will be listing more series prices and records as they day goes on.

It may be a long shot i think the pirates can seriously compete this year and I will take a very small play on them to win the central at +2000 @ Olympic.
