Hamels says start versus Santan no big deal - Yahoo Sports

Cole Hamels certainly understands the hype that surrounds his start Friday at Citizens Bank Park. It's not necessarily Hamels vs. the New York Mets, although it is. It's more Hamels vs. Johan Santana.

But Hamels said he just doesn't care that much about the matchup. "That's for the fans, and I'm appreciative the fans are excited about it. But for myself, it's not a big deal," Hamels said. "I'm not pitching against him. I'm pitching against Jose Reyes, David Wright, [Carlos] Delgado and [Carlos] Beltran. I'm thinking about at-bats, pitches I have to make. I don't think about who's on their mound."

I bet he is thinking about them...
