ok, I lied. I was hoping I'd have the discipline to quit with a perfect record this season, but I knew better.

UTSA (+10) 2 units. I love when I find situations like this. these two teams played last year. if you only look at the final score, you'd think Houston blew 'em out. but take a closer look. that game was tied at halftime and Houston was up 3 after 3 quarters. then the wheels fell off. UTSA qbs threw 4 INTs in the 4th quarter. and their only drive that didn't end with an INT ended with a fumble. so 2 of Houston's 4th quarter TD drives were 54 and 15 yards. and their last TD was a 96-yard TAINT (touchdown after INT, for the uninitiated). so the roadrunners hung with the cougars for 3 quarters. I have to believe they feel like they have a little unfinished business to take care of tonight.

also, after 4 straight TO's, the roadrunners put backup qb tucker carter into the game. carter completed 7 straight passes, driving the team down to the 8-yard line, before throwing the aforementioned TAINT. I mention this, because carter is the starter tonight. at least as far as I know he is (always do your own due diligence!).

so, yup, I'm all in on tucker carter. tucker carter. wow. wasn't he the snobby kid in "fresh prince"?

oh, almost forgot. a little more from that box score... both teams had the same # of first downs and UTSA actually gained 2 more yards. and they dominated time of possession by almost 9 minutes. these two teams were very even last year. if the turnovers even out (Houston didn't have a single one in that game), the roadrunners are a very live dog with revenge to motivate them.

UTSA ML (1 unit to win 3.1)
