Not a huge amount of games .. I see only one play that I like
Caorlina Hurricanes Under 2 1/2 Goals for 3%
.. A lot of people will look @ the stats and see that the Under is a good play. But stats can b misleading sometimes. Carolina has a huge problem with goaltending and has allowed the opponent to score first in I think most of their last 10 games. [at least the ones I have followed]. With Bondra and Jagr back I think Washington gonna score at least 3 goals or more.
Kolzig has been playing very well for Washington.
Capitals penalty killing is @ 79.6 % which is 28'th in the league while Carolina PP is 10'th in the league @ 17.2%.
But these 2 teams are heading in the opposite directions.
In last 5 games Washington Penalty Killing has been @ 85% well above their season average while Carolina Power Play has been @ 14.8% .. well below their season average.
Last 5 Games Washington has given up 2.2 goals on average.
Last 5 games Carolina are scoring 2.2 goals on offense. Out of these 5 games they scored
1 against Rangers
3 against Atlanta
4 against Boston
3 against Sabres
0 against Rangers
Rangers and Washington play similar style of defence. I would not be surprised to see Carolina shut out today or mebbe score 1 goal.
In last 10 games Washington has given up more than 2 goals ONLY TWICE - once to boston and once to Sabres.
Meanwhile Carolina has scored more than 2 goals in 5 of last 10 games .. . thats very impressive right .. well take a close look ..

Atlanta and Boston are not the best defensive teams in my opinion.
In one of the games against Atlanta where Carolina scored 3 goals they had only ONE goal wilth 1:00 min left in the game and managed to tie with an extra attacker and had one more goal in OT. Problem with Atlanta goaltending is they are not sharp towards the end of game usually.
I think Washington holds Carolina to ZERO or 1 Goal

Boston / Buffalo - will lay off this one. Biron may be starting. Both teams capable of scoring 3 goals each though I think Boston may be kept to 2 goals. But no play on it
NJ and Florida: Total of 4.5 is not good enuf for me to warrant a play on the Under. Two times the total has been set @ 4.5 betn these teams and both times the total went Over. Florida Under 2 Goals mebbe a good bet with Brodeur in net but I will lay off.
