It's important to realize this isn't a strike, it's a lockout. This whole circus could've been avoided by just Sticking with the agreement that was made in 2006. The officials aren't looking for one penny more than what the agreement was for. The NFL is a cash cow escalating revenues and profits every second, owners charging more for tickets, concessions and parking, the league making more on television contracts every year, but they want to short change and pinch pennies on the referees. Typical corporate whores, now you got what you bargained for.
This hypocrite Roger Goodell can't wait to fine a player like Michael Turner for drunk driving, claiming he will do everything to protect the NFL brand. Then he serves up this farce to the American public.
