Just got this email from a very good friend who post sometimes here at Madjack. Guys you will have a good laugh.....
"Was in Vegas for 3 days this past week. Made my annual trek to the famous Gamblers Book Shop. Picked up one book w/ some Coll FB 1-AA team info, plus a few other books.
The funny part comes when Glenn McGrew walks in. McGrew is arguably one of the bigger touts and part of the Jim Feist group. I recognize him immediately and say "a famous person just walked in." I start to shoot the bull w/ him and tell him he looks like he lost weight. I ask him who his #1 College team is. This is August 16th (12 days before opening kick), and he tells me he "hasn't started to study college yet." In fact, I tell him that Georgia's Offensive Tackle is out for the year and that he's a pretty good player. Wait till he uses that line on Proline. Anyway, his stay is brief, and he tells the clerk that this (a book) is what he came for. He hands him the Phil Steele 2008 College Annual. That book had already been out for 8 weeks! And he's just buying it now. "
So that should tell you a little about the tout industry.
