Just heard on the radio that PGA golfer Jim Furyk overslept and missed his Pro-Am tee time earlier today. That is an automatic DQ from the event.

Now in this day in age of cell phone alarms, wake up calls, etc. how does this happen? Where was Fluff (his caddy)? Did someone from the tournament not realize he wasn't on the range warming up and call his room? Unless they were in an RV behind the CBS trailers ala Tin Cup, there is no excuse. Can't wait to hear the spin on this, LOL.

Furyk was scheduled to tee off at 7:30 a.m. ET in Wednesday's pro-am but failed to arrive on time. The pro-am was a shotgun start and Furyk was to start on the 11th hole. Marc Leishman took Furyk's spot in the pro-am group. :mj07:

I wonder who the Amateurs were? Usually they pay a lot of money to play with a marquee player.

We are sorry but Mr. Furyk is detained so you will be playing with Marc Leishman. WTF?

HELL
A bad error, and stupid rule if you ask me for a ProAm, not like this happend during play. It stated he only arrived 5 minutes late, perhaps a dock in pay but not DQ.
