BATON ROUGE -- LSU's national champion football team will be featured in the first of a five-part series starting next week on ESPN's SportsCenter that focuses on spring practice for five of college football's elite teams.

The Tigers, who are currently in their second week of spring drills, will be showcased on the 5 p.m. edition of ESPN's SportsCenter on Monday, April 5. Other teams featured during the week include Southern Cal on April 6, Texas on April 7, Oklahoma on April 8 and Georgia on April 9.

The five-part series is reported by College GameDay's Kirk Herbstreit and includes an in-depth interview with LSU coach Nick Saban as well as footage from LSU spring practice. The LSU portion of the series also includes an all-access feature with Saban as the coach wore a microphone one day at practice giving fans a first-hand look and feel for what it's like to be on the practice field with the Tigers.

LSU fans can get a sneak peek at the Tiger feature on the 9:30 a.m. edition of ESPN's SportsCenter on Sunday, April 4.
