Torre has a veteran team with a record of winning. He lets them play.

Basically, Torre collects $3 million a year to not screw up things, and very good at it.

Brenly's mistakes in the World Series have been simple. He thinks he makes a difference. He should have stayed with his day job at Fox Sports.

Since Brenly still hasn't been put into a straightjacket, saying Kim will be his closer tonight, I'll take the +145 and take my chances.

A few more thoughts in closing:

- One must be brain dead if you don't think ARZ doesn't have an advantage in starting pitchers. Be careful underestimating Pettite's experience though.

- Managers, we know who has the advantage here, enough said.

- Bullpens, guess who has the advantage here. No need to call one of your life lines.

- Mental frame, slight advantage to Yanks, but have to hand it to the Snakes for battling hard in game five.

- A bit of trivia to end this thing: Yanks have had a 3-2 advantage in the World Series 13 times. Yanks have lost two, 1921 in a nine game series. 1926 in a seven game series.

Enjoy the game!

BearDownAZ,

A think you mentioned you were holding tickets for game 7. Having never gone to a World Series game, a part of me hopes you see a game 7.

When it comes to cold cash, went with Yanks. I at least have one advantage with the Royals being my favorite team. Don't have to worry about them playing in the World Series anytime soon.

kcwolf,

Man is this a tough call. Your comment regarding Pettite is spot on. I could see him giving the Diamondbacks a tough time tonight. My gut tells me that AZ pulls this one out, but your logic makes sense.

I am staying out of this one. Way to many factors to account for (being a WS and all).

Wolf, I think I am gonna pass tonight but you have big harry melons going with the Yanks here. I just can't justify laying -160 knowing I need 8 innings of 1 run or less to feel good about winning, but there is also no way I can fade Johnson tonight. Good luck to ya.
