NY YANKEES (Brown) -150 ovewr BOSTON (Lowe)
We hoped the Yankees would have wrapped this series
up sooner, but the Red Sox have gotten some solid efforts
from both starters & bullpen, Schilling came up with seven
solid innings in game 6, and the Yankees have failed to
come up with the big hit, often hitting the ball well but right
at fielders. That's baseball. But game 7 was always NY's
fail-safe. Boston's mound corps is now totally depleted, so
they will try to cobble together niine innings, beginning with
Derek Lowe, who just pitched 5 plus innings in two nights
ago. Lowe's road numbers are horrible (5.43 ERA in night
games) and the Yankees are tough to beat in the Bronx (60-
26, +$1575 this year). Kevin Brown did his best work at Yankee
Stadium in night games this year (+$290, 1.96 ERA), and the
Yankees were able to get Rivera & Gordon some needed rest
last night. The Red Sox are not a good road team (-$1180),
so we'll look for the curse to bit the visitor one more time.
