Move Made to Prevent Conflict with Anaheim Angels-San Francisco Giants World Series Game at Edison International Field of Anaheim
Anaheim, CA-- The Sunday, October 20, 2002, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim versus the Colorado Avalanche game has been changed to a 1:00PM (PT) start, from 5:00PM (PT), in order to avoid a conflict with Game Two of the 2002 World Series between the Anaheim Angels and the San Francisco Giants, it was announced today by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
"We are glad that we were able to make this change in order to allow sports fans the ability to attend in person or watch on television both games," stated Doug Moss, senior vice president of business operations for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. "Our thanks go out to the National Hockey League, the Colorado Avalanche and especially Greg Jamison, president of the San Jose Sharks, for changing the start time of their game on Saturday to 1:00PM (PT)."
The Arrowhead Pond Box Office will open at 10:00AM on Sunday, October 20, and will remain open through 6:00PM to handle all ticketing issues. Those patrons unable to attend due to the time change will be offered the opportunity to exchange their ticket for another Mighty Ducks game in the 2002-2003 season.
