Zags-3 I think they pull a creighton tonight because if they don't stand a good chance of hosting at least 1 nit game.

Fletcher...........Gonzaga is in NCAA tourney no matter if they win or lose. Yesterday your posted that Creighton had to win to get a NCAA bid. I believe Gonzaga and Creighton could have lost their tournament first round games and still been NCAA bound.

would not count on it, two many big schools have had worse year then those two but you can through the rpi out when it come to at large the bigger confrence will gat the at large if the little conf teams do not win their tourny it's all about power and voteing and the little conf does not have the pull. and more big ten teams and sec teams had some what off years and will take away a few at large bids, it happens every year and this year you will see more. So i think they will not take their chance and try the get 2 teams into the dance by taking the fall. imo. and creighton would of been left out if they lost last night at least to listening to a few of the people who are on the committe or in there words it would of been very hard. if a few big school lesser teams makes it to the last game say ohio.st gets 3 wins would put them at 16 or 17 and 13 they could sneak in due to being a big 10 team they are one i just pulled off the top of my head don't think it will happen but there are other teams with 1 or 2 more wins then they example that i made that it could happen if they win it all or go deep and the more big school who had less then the year they should then the little conf gets screwed happens it sucks but zags have not been barn burners this year either really had to fight at times. i want to see weber.st win it all
Just hard to see how Creighton with a regular season record of 26-4 and Gonzaga with a regular season record of 23-7 would not have gotten in especially how well both schools have faired in the tourney the last few seasons. Just my opinion.
Agreed....Zags in regardless. Tournament darlings the past 4 years, played a tough non-conference schedule...Lunardi has them as a 9 seed regardless of what happens tonight...definitely in. I liked them anyway...if they are going to play the game, why not try and win it while they are there. No reason to lay down and mail it in. Statement game that they are still the big dogs in the conference.
i agree mav but it the way the ncaa goes for the money with the ties to the big schools not right but it happens, that day is like a election day when they are picking at large teams and it is people working phones from their conf. it is unral it happens the same in baseball on the bids , it is a messed up way to trat little schools but that is how they do it and if they lost in first round no way they would of been there. and you already have a team with 500 or less record in so that bumps out one small school at large bid, they will be team that is in play in with another smaall conf team. stupid and unfair yes but it is how they do it.

B that 9th is counting on them winning wcc championship i bet sd was not in that projection. it would be tuff for the wcc to get 2 teams in. Yes zags have a little pull but hard to take 2 from wcc if they lose then someone else a bigger school will be left off from bigger conf. wait and see when it come sunday how many 20 = game winners from small conf are holding their heads because they got left out for a 18-12 team or worse from a power conf.
