I placed a wager on a PGA even this past weekend on Jonathan Kaye. It was at 40-1 and was placed 30 mins before his 4th round had begun. I get an e-mail from gamebookers 5 hours after the event is over informing me that my wager is cancelled because it was placed after the event had begun. I find it hard to believe that they cancelled all the wagers they had taken before they pulled the odds down. Worse yet is that I hedged on the other player on the last hole. So i'm out $$$. Stay away from them.

Why in the world would you think that your bet would stand? You took a shot and got caught. You made a 'win tourney' bet after 3 rounds had been played. Then you hedged, figuring your bet would stand? Did you really think Kaye was 40-1 after 3 rounds? What am I missing here?

Damit, you ignorant people.

Do you like this site?

Do you enjoy Madjacks?

Then F_cking use the Sponsors. Redneck Nascar fans can do it. Why can't you?

The sponsors on this site pay money to be here. They are flipping the bill for us to use the bandwidth and the site maintenance.

It's not like there isn't a variety, there are 6 different companies with banners flashing on this page as I write this reply.

GET A CLUE.

Stop posting anything about any competitor. Any news is good news.

*ok, not all Nascar fans are rednecks, but most do show brand loyalty to the sponsors.

*sorry to "go off" Trampled but this is a big problem that has an easy fix.

i agree with both tbonez & blazer. if you like what this forum offers posters, in the various gambling oriented threads & in the general discussion thread, then you should use the books that helps pay the bills.

as far as what books to use, i'm sure that either jack(he helped me) or ie would be more than happy to direct you to the right book.

WSEX was at 25-1 when I took 40-1 my friends.

I do a lot of business with sponsers but there are not too many options when it comes to golf.

IT COST ME 660 DOLLARS AND A VERY VALUABLE LESSON WHEN (LENNY AND CASCADE SPORTSBOOK) STOLE MY MONEY.I KNOW JACK WOULD HAVE BACKED ME AND I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER SPORTSBOOK THAT ISNT ON JACKS LIST.THESE CROOKED BOOKS WRITE RULES THEN THEY CHANGE THEM WHEN IT WORKS IN THERE FAVOR THEY ARE CROOKS:thefinger I USUALLY ALWAYS CHECK WITH JACK AND ASK HIS OPINION BEFORE I SEND FUNDS NEVER USE A SPORTSBOOK UNLESS YOU KNOW THE FORUM LEADERS WILL WORK WITH YOU AND NOT BE OWNED BY THE CORRUPT SPORTSBOOKS BECAUSE THEY ARE PAID SPONSORS.THIS IS THE ONLY FORUM WHERE THE MAN ON TOP IS A STAND UP GUY AND DOESNT TOLERATE ANY CRIMINAL ACTIVITY WHEN SPORTSBOOK ROB THERE HARD WORKING CUSTOMERS RIGHT (LENNY AND CASCADE) I STILL CANT BELIEVE I HAVE PLAYED OFFSHORE FOR 8 YEARS AND ONLY GOT ROBBED ONCE BY CASCADE SO MAYBE I WAS LUCKY THEY DIDNT STEAL MY WHOLE BALANCE OF 1900.

I WILL NEVER FORGET THE GREAT CASCADE SPORTSBOOK ROBBERY OF 2003 THE DAY LENNY AND CASCADE STOLE MY 660 DOLLARS AND THEN CALLED ME A SUCKER:thefinger

Trampled...it looks like your 40-1 turned into 0-1.

OK, I'll lay off I think I got my point across.

Look guys, obviously we should all support books that sponsor this site. Any opinions on what this guy tried to do? He tried to steal money from the book and he got caught. On top of that, he was stupid enough to hedge figuring that his bogus bet would stand. That ain't so bright. And now he whines about it.

Trampled, i've seen your name around the forums for years and you know damn well that a guy a couple shots off the pace after 3 rounds isn't a 40-1 shot. You also knew that your gamebookers bet was a 'win the tourney' bet, not an interactive(ala WSEX). You knew that they made a mistake by leaving that bet open and you tried to screw them. It didn't work, so stop crying.

Speaking of the WSEX interactives, you are wrong there as well. The best that you could buy Kaye at in between the 3rd and 4th rounds was 6(you could SELL at 4(25-1), not buy). That's about 16-1 and frankly has absolutely nothing to do anyways with a static line that a book forgot to take down.

Interesting chit.

Kosar, you make one of the more important contributions to this thread, here; would be nice to see a response to it. Books have it in their terms and conditions that they are allowed to refuse wagers on reasonable grounds, and if a mistake was made, one where they left a line open that clearly should have been down, then that would consitute "reasonable grounds," by most assessments, I would think.

I totally agree with the argument that forum users would be smart to stick to Jack's sponsors; I believe him to be on good terms with them, and able to be an important voice if one is needed.

kosar,

i try to stay away from giving my opinion on posters trying to put one over on a bet, mainly because i don't personally know the people who post on the net.of course trampled underfoot tried to get away with one. to me it is par for the course in the gambling world. there are always going to be people trying to make an easy buck. however these books are sometimes careless & invite this type of action. they should automatically take bets down once a game or match starts. this way there won't be any temptation for someone to try for the easy buck.

Kosar,
You may be right but I thought I saw a 4 where it counts and thats 24.9-1. I didnt lose much as I hedged very very small only about 5% what I would have won. The point i'm making is I dont want anyone else to do business with this outfit. What they did was wrong and its not the first time they did some shaddy things. They pulled down the betting option 4 hours before this was final. All they had to do was drop an email to everyone who bet after they wished. However, thats not what they did. They waited until after the event was over to figure out what they would do.
