The Ottawa Senators travel to Music City to face the Nashville Predators.

THE STORY: Who are these Ottawa Senators? A few short weeks ago, they would have folded like a guy holding 7-2 offsuit after going down three goals to a defensive team like the Minnesota Wild. Instead, they charged back and won, giving them a shot at five straight wins when they face the Nashville Predators.

THE SUBPLOTS: Rookie goaltender Brian Elliott was pulled in that Minnesota game after allowing three goals on 12 shots, so what does that mean for today? Does Cory Clouston show some faith and toss Elliott right back in there, or does he go with Auld, who was sharp the rest of the way? The latter choice could have consequences for Elliott?s confidence, though he doesn?t seem like the type who would let it shake him.

THE WILDCARD: Antoine Vermette. Now this is the kind of secondary scoring the Senators were looking for when they signed Vermette this summer. He has a goal and an assist in each of the past two games. With the Big Three and the Fisher line also producing, the Senators have put up 19 goals in their past five games.

THE QUOTE: "I believe we had a good team. I think we have a core of players here who have been analysed to death, but are, in fact, good players, and in this league will be good players. I think it's always nice to get a good draft pick, but I think we have to do as well as we can for the balance of the year.? ? Bryan Murray on not tanking the rest of the season.

THE SICK BAY: Senators ? C Cody Bass (shoulder), RW Chris Neil (leg laceration). Predators ? C Scott Nichol (concussion), D Alexander Sulzer (shoulder separation), C Radek Bonk (upper body).
