What a whopper of an upset week of Top 25 teams last week eh?!! :142smilie

Now this week we have some doozies folks!! And I mean doozies!!

Texas vs Oklahoma, Texas off big game at home in which they fought hard vs Baylor and Oklahoma gives up a tonage of yards vs the Horny toads and loses their first Big12 game away in Texas. This game will be played at a neutral site and big bragging rights and big recruiting eyes on this game. Charlie Strong wants to get some top recruits? Well this is the game where his team needs to show something, Texas with Mack Brown beat the Sooners LY 36-20. Texas is 1-3 L4 ATS vs Sooners. I have Sooners to be favored by 8-10 pts here.

Florida St @ Syracuse - Why is this game significant, this is Fla St 2nd rd ACC game and they are playing Syracuse who got blitzed by Louisville on Thursday night and have a couple days extra rest. FSU took it easy the first half vs WF and looked out of synch to be honest with only a 13-3 lead. Second half they put up 27 and gave up a goose-egg. Fla St should be at least an 18 1/2 pt fav here. If FSU plays like it did vs Wake Forest early and last wk vs N C State, Syracuse I don't think wins SU but should put up a battle if getting 3 TDs.

TCU @ Baylor - Both teams undefeated and leading the Big12 right now. Horned Froggies off big home win vs Sooners, Baylor played possum vs an improving Texas defense and won 28-7 at Austin. This will be Baylor's first big test of the year and Horned Frogs have some returning talent and team speed. Baylor won LY 41-38 as a 14 1/2 pt fav @ TCU with a banged up TCU bunch. Baylor should be a 14 1/2 pt fav again, this time at home, I have them winning by 10 1/2 with 3 pt error margin so 10-13 pts?

Auburn @ Miss St - Talk about barn burners, both teams undefeated and rank in top of SEC. This one will be probably the most watched game next week other than the Texas - Oklahoma tilt, :142smilie but seriously, State will have a tough road to ho here, two straight weeks vs a top flight program at home? Let the tailgating begin because A&M's offense to me, is far better than what Auburn has shown thus far this year, they beat a decent LSU defense but LSU's defense to be honest, was on the field most of the game because their freshman QB had a tough time with the big Auburn front 7. Dak Russell is mobile and can pass and State's "D" will get tested like they did by A&M. This one I have as a pickem line as well to -3 for Auburn. If State is a dog, I'm pouncing on them like sausage and gravy biscuits!!

Oregon @ UCLA - Both teams off of first losses of the season. Perhaps UCLA was looking ahead to this game when they played Utah last night? If they did, Oregon is going to obliterate the Bruins. The Bruins weakness was exposed during week 1 vs UVA, it's their "D". They suck!! Utah moved the ball at will vs the Bruins and Oregon is going to be on their sharpest focus they've been on all year after losing to Arizona at home on Nat'l TV. Mariota everyone knows about now and teams focus on containing him, but the factor here is Ducks "D" is a bit better than UCLA's "D". This line will probably be a pickem and I see Oregon winning by 7 or more here. Oregon won LY 42-14 at home.

USC @ Arizona - USC gets a hail mary on 'em vs Arizona St backup QB? Nice job Sark!! Arizona undfeated and off big road win over Oregon last Thursday night and now will be a home fav more than likely or another pickem game. Both teams to me are even talent wise, home edge to Zona for sure, coaching? Eh. Rich Rod? Ok. He does win whereever he may roam, this one will definitely be worth watching. USC won 38-31 LY at home.

Georgia @ Missouri - Missouri is undefeated, Georgia will bring "A" game, running game to Columbia, and in revenge mode, Missouri won @ Athens LY 41-26 as a 7 pt dog. I don't think Georgia will be favored in this road tilt, Missouri favored probably by 6 1/2. FG type game here.

Mississippi @ A&M - A&M off beat down at Miss St on Saturday, Ole Miss undefeated and off big home win vs the Kiffin-ator led Bama offense :142smilie A&M at home is like $$$$$, they don't lose often at home!! This line will probably be a pickem line too and I have A&M winning this one by 7 or more. Stay tuned!!

SU is a bad team man......with a hurting QB. FSU can name the score if they want, ND on deck though.

Oregon looks like a trap.......looks way too easy......UCLA or nothing for me. Regardless of how bad the UCLA D is, the Oregon OL is worse! Mariotta is banged up.

I like UGA alot!

A&M sees far by and away the best D so far in Ole Miss. Rebels win this one.

No take yet on the other games you mentioned. GL and great stuff as always.

By far the best offense and toughest atmosphere Ole Miss has faced yet.

Sorry Corley.... I have to pick theTop dog fight@home +SEC fight + national rank fight..... -3.. home team will fight the best of their gutzzzzz they can to keep the rank and the fans....... Auburn will be on my list any time of day... :)
Coin flip on this because of atmosphere like you said... but this week they have to fight the real Tiger ..... not like bama just a name on the paper this year and I know Baja will lose again down the road...

Will be a good game to watch...

you better be careful betting against ole miss. they are on a mission and have a great defense,. A&m will struggle to score 21 points and you know how sorry A&M's defense is. 31 17 ole miss

Thanks for the input ya'll!!

Ole Miss personnel and coaching have some edges, but you can never know how a team will play on the road, they beat Boise (neutral site - Georgia dome) but on the road Ole Miss is? They beat Vandy easily at Titans stadium. Vandy lost a lot of key personnel and have new coach in place and are starting to play better now. Memphis & ULL are not exactly the same caliber opponents A&M has played. A&M put S Carolina to shame in Columbia and not many teams can do that. They also had no quit vs State LW even being down big numbers. Kenny Hill is a quality QB and their key personnel on Offense can matchup and give Ole Miss troubles. Bama's biggest weapon was shut down and Bama gave away that game. Biggest weapon was Cooper vs Miss seconday and the QB of Bama had tunnel vision and happy feet. Line has moved strong in favor of A&M at home and I have them winning by 7 right now, but want to get some more info before pulling my trigger officially.

Auburn on the other hand on the road has faced? K State? How many opportunities did K State piss away? Missed FGs and Waters turnovers? This will be the War Eagles 2nd road game and go into a hostile environment. Miss State HC Mullen knows Gus' tendencies and this may aid them at home. I see the line opened -3. I had the line -3 to pick em for Auburn. Doesn't mean I liked Auburn, it means that's what I felt Vegas would throw out there. Dak Prescott is a decent QB who is strong and can run, similar to Auburn QB. State's speed also could come into play here, they are quicker and stronger than K State and this is the SEC!! I like State as the dog here SU!

Oklahoma should laynot another egg against Texas and big time revenge game, I believe played in the Jer-Dome? I could be wrong there, but QB for Sooners and their "D" should shut down Texas and that 14 1/2 pt number Vegas put out was to get heavy both side action and so far the line hasn't budged much.

Oregon & UCLA both have "D" problems, Mariotta might be a bit gimp but I'll take him part gimp over Hundley, but in this matchup the Visitor is just 1-6 SU L7. UCLA will be pumped and Ducks off first loss and embarassment to Arizona in their own home. Maybe very interesting outcome in that tilt. Special teams assist Oregon in that one.

Florida St line moving up vs Syracuse, Cuse QB out 3-4 weeks with broken leg, the backup didn't do much better vs UL "D", FLA St "D" equally as good as UL and UL won by 22? Winston rocks in this tilt after a weak first half vs Demon Deacs. FSU can name the score, probably 30 pt blow out.

Georgia @ Missouri, home team is 0-2 in only 2 times teams have played in the SEC. QB for Missouri probably the best Dawgs will have faced YTD. Missouri had LW off, Dawgs played Vandy and took pedal off the throttle. Making Tigers a home dog has my head scratching a lil bit, especially since Georgia lost at South Carolina by 3 and almost came back to tie it if not for a missed FG. Missouri is a bit better on paper for me than S Carolina.

Arkansas vs Alabama has significance? Hmm...Hogs have improved in 2nd year under Bret, and are dogs at home now by double digits after opening +8 1/2? Ok Bama backers pushed the line? I doubt that's all there is there and it came back down from -10 to -9 1/2. Saban hasn't lost 2 straight in how long? Arkansas isn't bad. They have a good running game with Collins and the other kid. But who has Arkansas played so far other than Auburn away and lost by 24 and lost at a neutral site to A&M by 7 in OT. I think Bama wins SU, by 9 1/2 though? Not certain just yet, my numbers come out to 7-10 pt margin, Bama's ave margin of victory vs Arkansas is 28 pts? :scared

USC vs Arizona is an under-hyped game and I like Rich Rod as a small home dog here. USC has been beaten twice already, they have talent, but not to the level that Sark will eventually have this team at in 2 years with the lost schollys they've had. Zona had some time off since Oregon win away and at home vs USC they will be pumped.

Last game, TCU @ Baylor, TCU high off that home win vs Sooners. They ain't done that in a while and had kept past games close vs Sooners. Patterson has this program back on the map and they are doing it quietly since the start of the year. TCU however hasn't had the schedule Baylor has had?... they beat Minnesota in wk 2 after playing pickup game vs Samford :142smilie, and shut down SMU which everyone had done until SMU played ECU last week in a let down game @ ECU for ECU. Baylor played good "D" and special teams vs Texas. Texas "D" has improved and their HC is one of the best in the nation, no doubt! Baylor has beaten Texas, Iowa St, Buffalo, N'w State Lose-ee-anna and SMU, so will give schedule edge to TCU here. Baylor opened -11 and has since come down to -9 1/2. Last year game @ TCU, Baylor won 41-38 as a 14 1/2 pt fav. This one at home? Lots of folks watching this one closely, especially pro personnel looking at Boykin and Petty and the Heartbreakers. My numbers have Baylor winning by 7-10, 42-32!

More input if ya'll have any is appreciated!! I'm posting my games later this weekend so I can study just a tad more!!

Wild bill you didn't watch the same game I did. If not for the officials ole miss wins easily. Officials gave Alabama a touchdown right before half on a terrible no call on a facemask that wasn't called and Alabama scored on the play and to boot stepped out of bounds on the same play. Alabama also fumbled on a kickoff return that the officials refused to review. Um should have won 29 10 minimum if not for the officiating.

Another little fun fact on tcu...don't see a huge let down vs Baylor....Patterson was fit to be tied after Baylor game last year. He was soooo pissed at Briles for a plethora of "dirty hits"....I think he will have the horny ones worked up for revenge in this one!!
