RAYMOND -- I hate to speak for Fletcher, but according to another post in "Off the Wall" he is playing:

....."these fights go aug 4th need to play them as soon as you can because line will move these are good strong plays. klitschko-850 over schufford should be a quick kill. the big play take bones adams-120 to smack ayala. this is a triple play good luck and move fast.
"

.....

It's a long thread you can check out with more of his previous comments.

I have a question for you or Fletcher -- when you play large favorites, for example Astros -200 and Yankees -200 today, why do you tend to parlay them and Fletcher tends to play them straight up. It would seem as if it's a much safer play to parlay to big favorites, even though you don't win quite as much if they both come through.

For example, if someone played one team at -260 and another team at -260 for 1 unit each, they could win 2 units, lose 5.2 units, or lose 1.6 units (with a split). A parlay of these two risking 1.6 units would mean either a net win of 1.6 or a loss of 1.6. So you win .4 units less than otherwise possible, but you potentially save 3.6 units should they both lose. A split gets you the same as if you played them each straight up. This question is more for Fletcher, because it would appear that you play some favorites risking the same amount. Is my math bad, or is there another advantage that I am missing? I tend to parlay the two together to minimize any catastrophic losses. Thanks.
