This is one prop I'm looking at. The guy from Statfox.com said on the radio he projects 188 passing yards for Gannon; a far cry below his average. The TB defense basically turns the other QB into Ryan Leaf with a sub 50 QB rating. Even Garcia and McNabb couldn't escape the Leafitis. I'm guessing the prop number will be in the 215-220 range and I will go under.

I think i saw this prop at 250. i could be wrong but i remember thinking 250 against this tampa defense is going to be real hard for gannon to get.

I dont normally play props but am interested. What things could happen to totally screw this prop up ? Screen pass taken for 70 yards adds to this total ? that kind of stuff ?
What is the prop for Brad Johnson going over the passing yards ?
I think that one might have some value.

I've seen a couple of books with 250.5 as the line.
I'm inclined to agree with you on the under, although I think it's fair to say that McNabb and Garcia didn't have the offensive weapons of Oakland - Rice+Brown+Porter+Garner can't all be covered all the time by the Tampa D. Also, the Oakland O-Line made Tennessee's pass rush look pathetic last week. Yes Tampa are better, but are they good enough?
Add into this the fact that the Raiders will keep passing even if they're comfortably ahead, and there are a few doubts in my mind.
Not a bad prop, but probably not the best one available this week.

What could screw it up is if Tampa jumps out to the lead and forces Oakland to play catch up. But Oakland passes the majority of the time if they're leading or not. If Tampa throws a lot of passes they can lengthen the game and if Gannon gets 45 attempts, there's a fair chance it could go over. If he throws 50 passes, then it probably will. But I'm guessing there will be enough running plays by both teams to keep him under.

Anyone thought about what would happen if gannon got hurt? a good possibility with a fired up T.B.def. He has taken every snap save about five or six this year. I would sooner have Rob Johnson(did I say that) as a back up than some guy that hasn`t played the system this season.

Your under prop may be good. There was talk on WFAN radio saying that the Raiders may surprise everyone and RUN the ball more often than thought because of their huge offensive line.
BUT...and I emphasise "BUT"..if they become successful with the run, that may open up some long ones.
Don't forget in The Eagle Game their was a number of occassions where Eagle Receivers were quite open down the field and McNabb never responded to them.

I believe Kurt Warner threw for 301 yards against Tampa.
