Georgia Bulldogs guard J.J. Frazier is going to be out of action with a hip injury, Mark Fox told FanRag Sports on Saturday morning.

That means the senior won?t be available for the team during its game against the Florida Gators on Saturday.

Frazier went down hard while attempting to finish a layup in the last few minutes of Georgia?s road game against Ole Miss. He would clutch at his hip in apparent discomfort for a few minutes before making his way off the court under his own power.

Coming out of high school, the guard was regarded as the top point guard of his class in the state of Georgia.

Last season, he led Georgia in scoring with 16.9 points per game, assists at 4.4, three-point percentage (.386) and free throw percentage (.824).

Frazier would also start in 29 of the team?s 34 games, including the final 28 of the season.

By the time his junior season was over, he was tabbed second-team All-SEC by league coaches, as well as a being a third-team honoree by the Associated Press. He was also named to the All-SEC Tournament team, the only player not in the championship game to earn that recognition.
