With the monkey of being pre-season #1 now fully on our shoulders, we are going to be marked men all season. Unfortunately, being marked with our schedule will likely not bode well for the upcoming season.
We are solid at just about every position with very few holes, but the week in week out brutality of our schedule will get the best of this team at some point.
My guess is that if/when we do take that first loss, the mounted pressure of being labeled as "over-rated" will more than likely cause a follow-up bad showing in the next game.
As I spent some time in Atlanta and Athens over the last two weeks, I was blown away about how skiddish people's excitement really is. Going undefeated this year is almost not even considered plausible by most fans at this point, and I happen to agree with them.
Georgia Southern - gotta do it
Central Michigan - ok. let the bashing begin
@ South Carolina - Spurrier licking his chops. Might be the best game we could lose since it's early. It could serve as a wake-up call as well as give us time to recover for the polls.
@Arizona St. - shouldn't be much of a game
--brutality begins
Alabama - who knows?
Tennessee - we are a better team, but they have put the freaking beat-down on us the last two years.
Vandy - bye week as they sink in talent this year as opposed to the last few years of improvements
@LSU - I'll be shocked if we're favored. Almost not a chance of this.
Florida - 50/50
@Kentucky - with QB problems they should take a few steps back from recent years
@Auburn - will it ever stop?
Georgia Tech - have jumped in talen this year. they are pretty much an unknown at this point. this could be cake walk but it could also be slug fest
Heisman Trophy Awards - sure would like to see UGA get back on the national map in things like this
