Is there still a gasoline shortage down there and/or long lines...etc?

One of my friends is driving down here from Chicago soon and wonders if he should change his route on account of this.

thanks a lot.

Kosar,

There is still somewhat of a shortage but its getting a lot better. My wife's seen gas at all stations on her drive to and from work since Tuesday. With small lines too. Have your friend fill up in Tennessee before getting in Georgia. Not for the lack of gas but more for the price. We have the priciest gas in the nation because of this situation.

Hope this helps,

He should not have a problem on his route anywhere except right in Atlanta (and it's clearing up there some).

Why not fly Southwest??? MUCH cheaper than paying for gas.

Almost back to normal here in the ATL. We had three weeks of of 45 minute lines to fill up.

You should be fine now. Premium might be a slight problem/

Thanks, guys. He's just going to go the normal route based on the info.

Very helpful, except for the Bowling Green duo. They were not all that helpful.

Jason,

He has to drive because he's towing a trailer full of his parents stuff to bring to them, as they just moved down close to here.

Gas in Nashville right now as $3.60-3.80.

I just filled up in Hopkinsville, KY yesterday for $3.21.

He may want to fill up in Kentucky before going through Tennessee if that was the cause.
