Eagles fans will be disappointed after this game.

Giants are much better on the road vs home.

I have to say, I didn't remember how well the Giants played in that game (2nd game at Giants Stadium), if it only weren't for 4-5 stupid plays. The Eagles only had 1 scoring drive that WASN'T off a NYG turnover. And the defense was playing pretty well too.

Here are the plays:

1) The Jacobs fumble was stupid because he led with his arm which was carrying the ball into Dawkins, a big fundamental mistake.

2) Eli's first INT, a ball deflected off the helmet of an Eagles player. Before that play, the Giants picked up 2 holding penalties that set them back 20 yards, to where Eli shouldn't have been throwing a long pass pattern.

3) Shaincos Fumble. Same comment as Jacobs, except He had no time to react to the hit, a great play by Dawkins.

4) At the end of the game settling for a FG instead of a TD. Eli should have tried to run it in. He had room

5) Eli's Second Int, not his fault IMO, as the defender made a great play. But again, if any of the above plays had been made, the Giants would not have been in a position to come back late in a game.

Bottom line, this team has the talent on offense and defense to play and win against the Eagles, but this team has serious emotional and motivation issues that week after week, the coaching staff can't seem to figure out. I can't believe any team would be lucky to completley shut down Tiki for 3 weeks in a season.

This game is for all the marbles.

The Giants if they win will gain the confidence they desperatley need, beating the hottest team in the NFL, and en-route to Chicago who is licking their own wounds, and then off to N.O. or Dallas or Seattle. If N.O. is avoided we can win the game against either of those two teams. Seattle isn't the same since the Giants left in week 3 and the cowboys Romo magic is fading. N.O. will be the only challange we face until the superbowl.

If they lose, this team needs to be restructured the way tampa was the year before they went to the Superbowl. We need a new head coach who can motivate a team and manage a game (instead of wasting his time flapping his arms for crowd noise), a new QB coach who can tell Eli what he is doing wrong and make corrections on a week to week basis (I have not seen Eli get the proper coaching week to week) and about 4 new defensive players, 1 OLB, 1 DT, 2 DBs (S or CB). Tiki retiring will be a blessing in disguise... his salary won't count against the cap next year, and we will be able to be big FA spenders. The OLB from Chicago, Lance Briggs, would look great next to AP and LaVar. He plays weakside just like Carlos Emmons. While I am talking about replacing players, cut Joseph who is a waste of a roster spot. Ask Amani to take a paycut, a 33 year old WR coming off major surgery is a risk, and not worth his full pay. I dare him to find someone who will pay him top salary in the offseason. Bring in real competition for Carter/Tyree. They need a fire lit under their butts. Wait one more year for Moss to develop. Bring in a 2nd TE like Dallas did with Fassano. Free up shockey to split out wide and catch more balls. As for other potential FAs, the CB for the patriots, Asante Samuel had a great year, and NE is notorious for not paying their FA's.We can use our 1st round pick to bolster any spot we want on the roster, O-line, DT, LB, S, CB, WR, HB. If we don't get a HB in round 1, then we should spend a 2nd round pick on a fast RB to "attempt" to replace Tiki's role as the fast elusive RB on our roster. If we get a GM who isn't afraid to make a big splash and spend the Tisch's and the Mara's money, along with a proper coach, I see this team taking advantage of a 3rd place schedule and going 14-2 next season.

But my gut instinct is that if this team can avoid the dumb play (either penalties, turnovers, missed assignments, etc) we have a GREAT shot at this game, and I want those Eagles to die. But I want TC out, so the only thing I hope dosen't happen is that this is a tight game that the Eagles pull out at the last minute, where the Giants gain no respect, confindence or anything other than questions and second guessing in the offseason, but yet play well enough for TC to keep his job.

Gravy,

I have one problem with your argument:

A lot of Elis interceptions are off somebodies helmet because he throws careless line drives that hit someone on the helmet. He also backs up when rushed and whips the ball into coverage. He got lucky last week against the Skins when the Dback dropped an easy pick in the end zone. He will turn the ball over again tomorrow as Philly blitzes the shit out of him.

That's correct. Nice write-up. Good logic in your analysis. Hard to disagree.

...but...(and I've been wrong all season, so just ignore what I'm saying)...IMHO, Phil has risen to the occasion more times than NYG has, when it counted.

I want to emphasize that your analysis is stellar, and I enjoyed reading it very much.

Whichever way it goes, NYG should make it a good game. Good luck!

almost all games come down to 4 or 5 plays that make the difference in winning or losing .going 2-6 in last 8 shows they haven't made those plays.they have not had a quality win since dallas on oct 23 beating houston with carr, tampa with gradkowski, carolina with weinke and washington with campbell, dallas benched bledsoe in oct 23 game so they beat 3 qbs who are no longer starters, 1 who was playing his what,6th game and carr who should not be starting next year! the defense has given up an average of over 30 points vs playoff teams this year ,alot of them when they were healthy! defensive talent??? where????
