I've been in love with the Eagles laying the points at home since the middle of last week. However, the line was always floating around 4.5-5 points and I was hoping that it would drop. If it wasn't going to drop, I would've just simply played the Birds on ML.
Well, it dropped this morning and it's not back down to 3.5 (EVEN.)
I do the love the Eagles in this spot. Here's why:
The Giants have lost their past three MNF games. The Eagles are 11-3 SU and ATS in their past 14 games against the Giants. Eli Manning has been a stud at home this season. However, Eli, in the two road games that he's played this season, he's averaged a paltry 202.5 yards/game and 1.5 TD's/game. Eli is not the same while he's on the road. And, his record against the Eagles is subpar. In the last three seasons playing at Philly, Eli is averaging 235 yards/game and 0.66 TD's/game. His weakness is playing the Eagles. Remember what happened just over a year ago when Eli went into Philly? The Giants lost 27-0 to the Eagles and Eli threw for 151 yards.
I rarely put a lot of emphasis on the QB when making my decision to make a betting play, but it's undeniable that Eli is horrendous against the Eagles. I'll go against Eli every time when it comes to a Giants/Eagles match up.
