if anybody remembers the old stephen king short story "salem`s lot" and also saw the t.v. movie they made out of it(with david soul and james mason....they also made a second one with rob lowe and Donald Sutherland) this is an awful lot like a contemporary version of that story with a sort of historical/sci-fi twist........
if you have on demand with your cable provider this thing`s in it`s 4th week and it`s getting better and better...there are 13 total shows and it`s scheduled to run for 3 seasons(per the books).....it`s been received well and has been doing solidly ratings-wise...
if you like grisly with a decent plot tied in with some historical context(in the 4the episode),this show is worth watching,imo(and mia maestro is a little minx)....
I couldn`t sit through "walking dead"...this I`m enjoying the hell out of...well worth going back and checking out,imo...
