Marshall hasnt played defense all year. They havent really had to. When you play on a team that can rack up yards at will....sometimes you just feel like that is the way you can win ballgames and that is it. Example...when the KC Chiefs are rolling up huge chunks of yardage...the defense usually sucks....When Randy Johnson is pitching...the D-Backs never score runs. I hope most of get where I am going here.... It is just a mental state that when your team is based on one sole aspect...all other aspects fall apart. Marshall plays no defense. They can get away with that due to the level of competition. Tonight...I feel they step up in class. Louisville actually plays defense...something that most good teams in the MAC do not do (Bowling Green, Toledo, Northern Illinois) Marshall will put up points...they always will, but defense and special teams will be the difference.
