However, another reason could be that the team hasn't had back-to-back games yet but that will change next Thursday and Friday and it's likely that Dafoe or possibly even Jani Hurme will start one game at that time.
Felix Potvin, Boston Bruins - In case anyone wants to know this information a day in advance, Potvin is scheduled to start Saturday's game against the Devils, according to the Boston Herald. Andrew Raycroft would then get the next start the following week on Tuesday against the Canadiens.
Dan Blackburn, New York Rangers - Blackburn, still sidelined by a damaged nerve in his left shoulder, said he does not expect to be back in game action before February, reports the New York Newsday. The 20-year-old goaltender injured the shoulder lifting weights in July. He has no fantasy value anyway as long as Mike Dunham is around.
Ty Conklin, Edmonton Oilers - Conklin left Thursday's game against the Avalanche prematurely after suffering a groin injury. He was replaced by Tommy Salo. This situation could have gotten interesting as it's quite a statement to us when Conklin gets the start over Salo against a division rival. Of course, Salo has struggled so far this year, so maybe coach Craig MacTavish was trying to send him a message.
