Ed Belfour, Toronto Maple Leafs - Belfour will be the starter for Wednesday's game against the Hurricanes, reports the Toronto Star. He will not play the night after against the Thrashers, however.
Marty Turco, Dallas Stars - Turco is the probable starter for Wednesday's game against the Flames, reports the Dallas Morning News.
Dwayne Roloson, Minnesota Wild - Roloson is the probable starter for Wednesday's game against the Oilers - as long as his wife, who was supposed to deliver on Tuesday, doesn't go into labor.
Kevin Weekes, Carolina Hurricanes - Coach Paul Maurice declined to name his starting goalie after Tuesday's practice. It's been awfully tough to predict the Hurricane's starter from game-to-game, but since they lost last time out with Arturs Irbe in net, we'll say Weekes is the probable starter. For what it's worth, the Raleigh News Observer lists Irbe as the probable starter.
Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Anaheim Mighty Ducks - Giguere is the probable starter for Wednesday's game against the Senators. However, since the Ducks play back-to-back games, there is a chance that Martin Gerber could get the nod instead.

Instead, coach and GM Pat Quinn made the decision for him as a way to rest and recuperate for the remainder of the season. Sundin is expected to play on Wednesday against the Hurricanes.

Mathieu Schneider, Los Angeles Kings - Schneider sat out for the fourth time in nine games on Tuesday, this time because of a bruised foot suffered Monday night when he got in the way of a Ziggy Palffy shot. X-rays were negative, but Schneider reported more pain than expected and was consequently scheduled for an MRI exam Wednesday.
Jason Allison, Los Angeles Kings - Allison could play on Thursday against the Senators after sitting out the past two games due to a hip flexor, however, coach Andy Murray was not optimistic that the center will be back before the all-star break.
Derek Morris, Colorado Avalanche - Morris underwent successful facial surgery to repair a fractured orbital bone on Tuesday and could be back in the lineup as early as February 8 against the Red Wings.
Chris Chelios, Detroit Red Wings - Chelios underwent an MRI on his lower leg injury Tuesday and the results came out satisfactory. He is still out for Thursday's game against the Panthers.
Ryan Smyth, Edmonton Oilers - Smyth practiced hard on Tuesday and will be a game-time decision to play on Wednesday versus the Wild.
Mike Comrie, Edmonton Oilers - Comrie skated before practice on Tuesday, shooting and passing pucks with no pain. He is out with a broken thumb and is not expected back in the lineup for another couple of weeks.
Oleg Tverdovsky, New Jersey Devils - The Tverdovsky situation continues to get weirder by the day. As expected, the Devils vehemently denied a report in a New York newspaper that Tverdovsky is suffering from the after effects of a concussion. In fact, GM Lou Lamoriello thinks that Tverdovsky's agent incorrectly leaked the results of the examination (perhaps purposely) as a way to get Tverdovsky traded. At least one Devils' player has stated that Tverdovsky is unhappy playing in Pat Burns' defensive system where his offensive stats are suffering - important when you consider that he is headed for unrestricted free agency over the summer. Our advice: stay away from the talented defenseman for now.

Just one day after the New York Post reported that Bure may be done for the season, the New York Daily News reports that Bure stated that his knees have improved a lot and he is just working on strengthening the joints. Bure added: ""The muscles are definitely much better and feeling strong. From the period of the surgery to now it's much better. I could barely walk and now I can skate. But I don't know how long it's going to be."
Brian Leetch, New York Rangers - Leetch "worked out hard" off the ice on Tuesday but there is still no definite date on when he hopes to be back in the lineup. According to various reports though, Leetch could be ready to go immediately after the all-star break but a more conservative estimate is about 10 days.
