Manny Fernandez, Minnesota Wild - Fernandez will be the starter for Monday's game against the Flyers, reports the Minnesota Star-Tribune. It will be his first start since he went on the injured list with a knee injury.

Jocelyn Thibault, Chicago Blackhawks - Thibault is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Canucks.

Curtis Joseph, Detroit Red Wings - Joseph is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Sharks.

Roman Cechmanek, Philadelphia Flyers - Cechmanek is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Wild.

Evgeni Nabokov, San Jose Sharks - Nabokov is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Red Wings.

Dan Cloutier, Vancouver Canucks - Cloutier is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Blackhawks.

Arturs Irbe, Carolina Hurricanes - There appear to be no suitors interested in the services of the veteran Irbe. It was believed that the Kings may have made a pitch for him to replace injured Felix Potvin but coach Andy Murray denied the reports saying they are satisfied with Jamie Storr and backup Cristobal Huet.

player info

Jere Lehtinen, Dallas Stars - Lehtinen did not play on Sunday due to a painful hip injury which he suffered the night before against Phoenix. The winger, who is having a fabulous season with 22 goals and a +31 rating, is listed as day-to-day.

Steve Yzerman, Detroit Red Wings - Yzerman participated in full contact practice for the first time on Sunday and experienced no problems. He has officially been cleared to return to action but will continue practicing in hopes of returning some time later this month.

Chris Chelios, Detroit Red Wings - Coach Dave Lewis said that Chelios' injured leg felt a little bit better on Sunday but he did not sound optimistic that the defenseman would be able to play this week. Keep Chelly reserved until he actually plays a game.

Derek Morris, Colorado Avalanche - The Avs announced after Sunday's game that Morris will return from a fractured orbital bone for Tuesday's game against the Devils.

Joe Sakic, Colorado Avalanche - Sakic has not yet begun skating after suffering a broken foot and is at least two weeks away from returning, reports the Denver Post. The Rocky Mountain News reports that Sakic will have his foot, which is in a protective boot right now, evaluated on Monday.

Pavel Bure, New York Rangers - The New York Daily News reports that Bure could return for Wednesday's game against the Panthers. That seems a little optimstic to us, but take the news however you wish.

Martin Lapointe, Boston Bruins - Lapointe is suffering from a knee injury and was not able to practice on Sunday. MRI results showed no damage and he will be a gametime decision for the Bruins' next game on Tuesday.

Sergei Samsonov, Boston Bruins - Samsonov will undergo X-rays on Tuesday to determine the progress he is making from wrist surgery. If everything is normal, he will get the cast on his hand taken off in 4-6 weeks and then will undergo extensive rehab to regain strength in his wrist. The best case scenario for his return is early April, which all but means he is rendered useless for the rest of the season.
