Martin Biron, Buffalo Sabres - Biron is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Panthers.

Roman Turek, Calgary Flames - Turek is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Sharks.

Manny Legace, Detroit Red Wings - Legace is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Kings.

Roberto Luongo, Florida Panthers - Luongo is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Sabres.

Jamie Storr, Los Angeles Kings - Storr is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Red Wings.

Jose Theodore, Montreal Canadiens - Theodore is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Capitals.

Evgeni Nabokov, San Jose Sharks - Nabokov is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Flames.

Olaf Kolzig, Washington Capitals - Kolzig is the probable starter for Monday's game against the Canadiens.

Jocelyn Thibault, Chicago Blackhawks - Coach Brian Sutter was unhappy with Thibault's play in an earlier 2-1 loss to the Coyotes and thus made the decision not to play him on Sunday against the Stars in a game that may very well have been the biggest to date this year for the team. No word yet on whether this "benching" will persist, but we feel as if Thibault will be back in net for the Hawks' next game.

Dwayne Roloson, Minnesota Wild - For the first time this season, coach Jacques Lemaire suggested that he might stray away from his two goalie rotation and play whoever out of Roloson or Manny Fernandez is doing better. If further stated that any losses by either goalie could adversely affect their future starts, especially if the other wins. However, Lemaire also made it clear that he has no problems sticking with the rotation if it works better, even into the playoffs.

Steve Shields, Boston Bruins - Shields missed about two minutes worth of action on Sunday after needing to go to the dressing room due to a stomach flu. Shields would not elaborate further, but I don't think we need a further description anyway.

Pasi Nurminen, Altanta Thrashers - Nurminen has practiced for three straight days and is very close to returning but won't return for Tuesday's game against the Canucks, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

player info

Theoren Fleury, Chicago Blackhawks - Fleury was a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Stars, the first time he has been scratched since his rookie season almost 15 years ago. He has not been playing well as of late but this benching could provide a good wakeup call for the feisty winger.

Joe Sakic, Colorado Avalanche - Unless his condition somehow takes a turn for the worse, Sakic will return to the Avs lineup for Tuesday's game against the Oilers. He has missed the last 15 games with a broken bone in his foot.

Steve Yzerman, Detroit Red Wings - Yzerman is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Kings. He told the media after Sunday's practice that he currently does not plan on playing tonight, but that he will surely play in one of the Wings' upcoming three games with it all depending on how he feels.

Brad Stuart, San Jose Sharks - Stuart is listed as doubtful for Monday's game against the Flames due to a slight concussion he suffered on Friday against the Blue Jackets.

Patrice Brisebois, Montreal Canadiens - Brisebois is expected to return to the Canadiens lineup in time for Monday's game against the Capitals. He has missed the past eight games with what the team is calling a "stress-related" ailment.

Simon Gagne, Philadelphia Flyers - Even though he is practicing with the team, Gagne's torn groin is not yet 100% and he is still at least a week away from returning, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Boris Mironov, New York Rangers - Mironov missed his second straight game with a slight right should sprain. It is not serious and Mironov may actually be able to return for Tuesday's game against the Devils after taking some pain-killing medication.

Glen Murray, Boston Bruins - Murray was high sticked in the forehead during the second period of Sunday's game against the Islanders. He received 13 stitches due to the stickwork but game back strong and finished the game. Murray also reached the 30-goal plateau earlier in the game and remains a premier winger in all fantasy leagues.

Sergei Samsonov, Boston Bruins - Samsonov is scheduled to skate for the first time either today or tomorrow as he recovers from wrist surgery. Tests have showed that he is recovering on schedule and the Bruins are hopeful that he will return to the lineup for the last two or three games of the regular season.

Jochen Hecht, Buffalo Sabres - Hecht is out indefinitely with a sore right wrist, but MRI exams showed no break or fracture.

Oleg Tverdovsky, New Jersey Devils - The Devils hope that Tverdovsky will begin practicing with the team sometime this week. He has been skating on his own for the past week or so without incident but won't be rushed by the Devils.
