Kevin Weekes, Carolina Hurricanes - Weekes will be the starter for Saturday's game against the Sabres, reports the Durham Herald-Sun. Arturs Irbe would normally be considered to play but coach Paul Maurice revealed that Irbe is also playing an injured right hand.

Jamie Storr, Los Angeles Kings - Storr will be the starter for Saturday's game against the Canucks, reports the LA Times. Add The Kings to the latest list of teams that will employ a goalie "rotation" for the remainder of the season, awarding starts based on whoever wins.

Mike Dunham, New York Rangers - Dunham will be the starter for Saturday's game against the Bruins, reports the New York Newsday. This despite the fact that his injured hamstring is still not completely healed.

Patrick Lalime, Ottawa Senators - Lalime will be the starter for Saturday's game against the Canadiens, reports the Senators website.

Roman Cechmanek, Philadelphia Flyers - Cechmanek will be the starter for Saturday's game against the Penguins, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer. He is going to attempt to play through his sore groin despite the soreness and fear of re-injury. He also stated that he has not been pressured to play by the Flyers coaching staff and/or management.

Sebastien Caron, Pittsburgh Penguins - Caron will be the starter for Saturday's game against the Flyers, reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Chris Osgood, St. Louis Blues - Osgood will be the starter for Saturday's game against the Red Wings, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Tomas Vokoun, Nashville Predators - Vokoun is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Thrashers, reports the Nashville Tennessean. In fact, it doesn't look like Vokoun will be getting much of a rest as the coaching staff is considering starting him in the next three games, which take place over a span of just four days.

Alex Auld, Vancouver Canucks - Auld is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Kings, reports the Vancouver Province. Dan Cloutier's knee is a bit sore after his first game since re-aggravating a knee injury so he will be kept out of back-to-back games. Cloutier will probably play Sunday against the Ducks.

Pasi Nurminen, Atlanta Thrashers - Nurminen is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Predators.

Andrew Raycroft, Boston Bruins - Raycroft is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Rangers. Take this one with extreme caution as it's only valid assuming Raycroft has recovered from a strained groin suffered last week.

Mika Noronen, Buffalo Sabres - Noronen is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Hurricanes.

Roman Turek, Calgary Flames - Turek is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Blue Jackets.

Patrick Roy, Colorado Avalanche - Roy is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Coyotes.

Marc Denis, Columbus Blue Jackets - Denis is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Flames. Strangely the guy is closing in on a record for most minutes played by a goalie in a season and the Blue Jackets coaching staff has sat him in two of the past three games.

Marty Turco, Dallas Stars - Turco is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Sharks.

Curtis Joseph, Detroit Red Wings - Joseph is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Blues.

Roberto Luongo, Florida Panthers - Luongo is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Lightning. The Miami Herald reports that Luongo will dress for the game so we're assuming he is good enough to start.

Jose Theodore, Montreal Canadiens - Theodore is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Senators.

Zac Bierk, Phoenix Coyotes - Bierk is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Avalanche.

Vesa Toskala, San Jose Sharks - Toskala is the probable starter for Saturday's game agains tthe Stars.

Nikolai Khabibulin, Tampa Bay Lightning - Khabibulin is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Panthers.

Ed Belfour, Toronto Maple Leafs - Belfour is the probable starter for Saturday's game against the Capitals.

Sebastien Charpentier, Washington Capitals - Charpentier will be the starter for Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs, reports the Washington Post.

Martin Gerber, Anaheim Mighty Ducks - Just a heads up, but Gerber will be starting the Mighty Ducks' game on Sunday against the Canucks. With four remaining games, coach Mike Babcock has gone on record to state that Gerber and Jean-Sebastien Giguere will split the remaining starts.

player info

Chris Pronger, St. Louis Blues - Pronger will make his long awaited and much anticipated season debut Saturday when the Blues play host to the Red Wings. The former all-star defenseman has been recovering from wrist and knee surgeries and will play a limited role at least for today, opting out of powerplay situations. We'd advise to give Pronger at least one game to see if he is back up to speed, but since the Blues play four games next week, he could certainly help any fantasy team out.

Valeri Bure, St. Louis Blues - Bure will make his Blues debut on Saturday against the Red Wings, playing on a line with playmaking center Doug Weight. Bure, acquired at the trade deadline from the Panthers, has been out with a sprained knee.

Owen Nolan, Toronto Maple Leafs - Nolan played only about eight minutes on Friday, leaving the game after experiencing pain in his back. This has been an ongoing problem for Nolan over the past few years and is a definite cause for concern for the Leafs heading into the playoffs, moreso when you consider all the other regulars that are hurt. Nolan will probably be okay in a few days but if his back keeps acting up, the Leafs Stanley Cup chances would take an enormous hit.

Andreas Johansson, Nashville Predators - Johansson, who has missed 17 of the past 20 games with a hip injury, took part in full-contact drills on Friday and hopes to be in the lineup Saturday when the Predators play the Thrashers.

Mario Lemieux, Pittsburgh Penguins - Lemieux did not practice on Friday and in fact, has not skated since last weekend. Consequently, he will not play in Saturday's game against the Flyers, but according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette will attempt to participate in the pre-game skate to see how his back feels.

Justin Williams, Philadelphia Flyers - Williams will undergo followup tests next week to determine if he can play in the playoffs. He has looked great in practice but the Flyers want to make sure his knee is healed internally speaking.

Simon Gagne, Philadelphia Flyers - Gagne continues to practice with his teammates and has looked good thus far, suffering from no setbacks of any kind. If all goes well, he is hoping to receive clearance to return for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jackets. With Gagne, you just never know until he actually plays and even still, he could still easily get hurt again.

Colin White, New Jersey Devils - White did not play in Friday's game against the Thrashers due to a stiff neck. It doesn't sound too serious and we'd assume White will be good to go for the next game.

John Madden, New Jersey Devils - Madden, who has missed two straight games with a groin strain, said after Friday's game that he is improving. No return date was revealed but it sounds like he'll be back in the very near future.

Pavel Bure, New York Rangers - Despite the fact that he continues to work out on and off the ice, Bure will not play in Saturday's game against the Bruins, reports the New York Newsday. It's looking more and more like Bure's season is over.
