The game in Qs is Montreal @ Boston
Montreal coach must no doubt be pissed off after the terrific defensive performance against Atlanta .. he shud have made the team stand in the cold for an hour ...
Something that i have been noticing is the change in defensive intensity on the road and at home for Montreal. At home they open up much more and go on offense much more whereas on the road they tend to clamp down on the defence much more that usual.
Theodore is in the net. He has mixed numbers against Montreal.
The thing which scares me the most here is the USELESS Penalty Killing of Montreal. How one can give up so many PP goals is beyond my grasp. But its a fact and gotta be considered.
But facing Thoedore is his former backup Hackett. Hackett WILL definitely wanna prove a point after they traded him. I have seen the intesity of the goaltender go up and reflexes become sharper when he is playing against his former team who suddenly traded him.
E.g. When Dunham faced Nashville in Nashville he was extremely sharp and stopped a penalty shot also. Data may be insufficient but have seen it before and hope to see it again today.
The over is 8-2 in the past 10 meetings.
Against that we have :
The under is 10-1-3 in MON's last 14 away.
The under is 6-2-2 in BOS's last 10 overall
Last 5 games Montreal is averaging 3.0 goals per game
Last 5 games Boston is averaging 2.0 goals per game
Last 5 games Montreal is giving up 2.8 goals per game
Last 5 games Boston is giving up 1.6 goals per game
Would be even lower but Boston has given up 3 goals in last 2 games. Hackett started one and Shields the other. One of the games the third goal was scored in OT. But fact remains that the defence has become sharper and will be much more sharp due to Hackett playing against his former team.
The obvious play is the Over 5 Goals ... Since i am not making headway and I think the Under will hit .. going against the obvious and taking
Montreal @ Boston Under 5 Goals @ +125
Good luck
Cheers !!! And may the Under God be With US
