Seeing that the MJ's superbowl party is getting closer, are there any good buffets that you would recommend?? Maybe Senor Capper, Hooks, Fletch, etc. can recommend one that is a MUST visit before we leave. Don't mind paying for food, it's just that I have heard that there are some low dollar buffets that folks say are real good.

How about Prime rib joints???

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and see you guys soon!!! :D

Tom where did you end up staying?

I always make it a point to hit the Paris breakfast buffet at least once during the trip. Great crepes and fairly reasonable on the price. Plus they dont make you wait in line for an hour if there is an hour wait. They give you a time ticket to come back at a set time so you can hit the tables for that hour instead of standing up.

Hey Ace!!

Staying at the Sunset Station. Will eat anywhere, just that some have said that they have good buffets in Vegas and the price is pretty reasonable.

Where are you staying??

I have eaten at a few casino buffets, but the one that stands out is the buffet at the Rio. I go to the Rio at least a couple of times each time I am out there. It is a little off the strip but worth it.

nuber 1 rated 2 years in a row best of las vegas by the lvrj is the spice market buffet at the aladdin it is unreal . sensets is good and the price is even better its big and food is above avg.

seafood on fri night at the rio cost is around 30 but well worth it. you could eat 3 breakfast and 1 diiner at sunset for that. they also have 4 very nice places to eat run fro 30- 90 depends on what you eat and 7 little fast food place things fat burger is very good also the mexcian toca stand not the restraunt its just a little counter where you place order the make it right in front of you fresh and it is the best. you also have the mall right across from you with about 20 inside and out side of it. and behind you on sunset propity you have 7 other ihop fassoles bk,wendys, and i forget the others. and a knew diner at the front of sunset just opened food is very good.

Fletcher,

Just wanted to say I was looking at a magazine earlier today on Home Designs as my parents are in the process of putting together their dream home and are looking for ideas. There was a section on Nevada and I noticed some very nice homes in Henderson. If I recall correctly there was one selling for $12 Million

So Cal
Sam's Town remodled their buffet a couple of years ago and it is pretty good and easy to get into. A little cheaper than Rio and other strip joints. Rio has always been a place to go, but now that Fletcher is touting Aladdin, will have to try it.

Heres something I have done at Paris and Bellagio, call and ask when they switch to dinner, then show up for lunch 20 minutes or so before. You can check out the lunch food, but also be there when they switch over to dinner and not pay the extra for the dinner menu.

On the course!
Look at you ace! You bargain hunter, you!

I am pretty certain that most of them would be close to the same, except for seafood at night.

(I like the idea, though!):D

One other thing:

If you are doing any kind of gambling at the tables, ask for a "line pass" to the buffet.

It is the easiest "comp" you will get, and it will save you 30-45 minutes of standing in line with the other yokles. At the MGM last year, it was a godsend for my group. They have one line for everyone else that was always two miles long, and the "VIP" line that never had more than one or two other parties in line.

Tell them yyz sent you!

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Aladdin is superb!

Aladdin is superb!

Hey TJ, I've eaten my way across sin city many of times. My waistline will attest to that!

Aladdin is one of my faves. they featured oysters on 1/2 shell, sushi, and some Mediterranean stuff like tabouli, dolmadas, baba gonju and fine lamb skewers. plus all the regular stuff (mexican, italian food stations along with carved beef, ham and turkey).

Paris has terrific rich sauces and desserts.

Bellagio is the other of these three that are considered to be "gourmet buffets" but you pay the hefty price if you have no comp.
Some you can get dinner at lunch price, just go in last 20 mins or so of lunch time and hang around for that dinner switchover.

but not all places you can do this. Aladdin does shut down after lunch now, Caesars always did. hours listed here...........http://www.a2zlasvegas.com/food/buf-list.php3

more good info here.......http://www.unlv.edu/Tourism/lvbufffaq.html

some great food deals in LV that aren't buffets. a few listed here....http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/topten.cfm

all the Station Casinos feature fine buffets for the price.

for prime rib I think Lawry's is the best. it's about all they do, so gotta get it right.

be sure to arrive hungry!

Have not been to Vegas in 2 and half years but I always enjoyed eating at Bally's for breakfast. Something about having tasty NY Strip Steak after a handy helping of French Toast/hash browns does it for me. *Burp* :)
