Here is something I haven't done for a while, go to the movie theater. With all of the torrents out right now why is there a need to? Well folks, it's my 9th Anniversary tomorrow and I planned ahead and got two groupons for the movies so my wife and I want to go to a show. Any suggestions on anything that just came out or has been in the theatres that is a must see?

She wants to go see the bling ring, but there is no way I'm going to sit through what looks like a sex and the city episode and I want to go see This is the end but I'm not sure she'll go for that. We both like dramas a lot, horror is out, anything with Superheroes is out (due to her), anything else is fine. Thanks guys!!

Going to the movies is a great experience!
It's engrossing, no cell phones, no knocks at the door, no dogs barking, the money you spend goes to the humans that create the art you enjoy, the smell of popcorn permeates. The list goes on.

I highly recommend it.

I remember the wife and I catching a movie in the cineplex down there in Union Station. That place is amazing! I've never been in a movie joint that large!

The theatre was packed and 2 guys were screaming for each of them to shut up and f-this and f-that, suck this, suck that.

Yep, thought I was going to get shot.

Good times!

Union Square. Yeah there are 2 or 3 downtown theaters that are interesting setups "architecturally" . My favorite is a few blocks from the square, really close to where I live. Used to be a Cadillac dealership decades ago. It's 4 or 5 stories tall and each floor has a few screens. Really fun riding the escalator up 5 stories to see a movie. SF and movie theaters are two things I love to gush about if you can't tell.

As for your near death experience, yeah that'll happen sometimes, one of them seems to attract a younger and more thuggy crowd.
Glad you toughed it out.

Saw "The Heat" this afternoon and thought it was funny as hell. Now don't get the wrong idea, the movie takes little to no thought and is full of crude humor. If you like those kind of movies you will enjoy this one:0074 Btw I fully expect them to begin working on a part II very soon, if they haven't already.

That was the one. I really wasn't pleased with the atmosphere there. The old Caddy place sounds cool!

Thanks for the reply.
