Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
It is very hard to find a movie nowadays with ANY originality.

It's refreshing to stumble on to a totally fresh (to me)
entertaining, unpredictable ending of a thriller, riveting movie.

Loosely based on an Edgar Allen Poe story, takes place in ENGLAND 1899, soon to be 1900.

A young recently graduated doctor of psychiatry, Edward Newgate, appears at Stonehearst Asylum to further his education.

It is run by (Ben Kingsley) Dr Silas Lamb, who has very, very un-authordox methods for treatment.

One patient who thinks he is a horse, is not being treated, when asked why, Doctor Lamb replies.."he is a perfectly happy horse, why cure him and make him a miserable human."

Edward falls for Kate Beckinsale, a patient who warns him to leave immediately.

Without giving up too much, the patients are running the asylum, the original staff is incarcerated in holding cells beneath the facility.

Among the imprisoned is Michael Caine (Benjamin Salt, the real Asylum Director)
Edward Newgate discovers this almost immediately, but has an agenda.

This movie received very little press, but has great acting by Ben Kingsley, Michael Caine, Kate Beckinsale.

One of those movies that you find yourself fully immersed, and the ending is a TOTAL mouth opening surprise..:0corn

"the bunker"
I`d heard about this movie and then checked the scuttlebutt on imbd....looks really interesting....the sets are supposed to be totally atmospheric and that`s a very solid cast of veteran actors.....

and kate beckinsale is still smoking...she gets hotter with age...

might try talk the better half into seeing this one instead of waiting for it on cable.... ...
