Also:

Has anyone really sat down on this first game today and have any really strong sides/totals choices? Or, is this one to pass on? I would like to play, but just have my hands thrown up in the air. I think Cubs should be around 140 or so to be dead even, but with it at 160-170 now, I just don't know. The 8.5 over 15 seems good with the wind going out...... Feel free to give me some advice. And as usual have an awesome & profitable day!

I think the Cubs are overvalued in this match-up. At -165, the bookies are giving them a 62% chance of winning. I think the line should be between -110 (52%) and -125 (55%). I see this game going either way.

There might be some value in fading the Cubs and playing Phil. +150. I was tempted by this line, but decided to pass.

Person's last start was pretty hideous. He's lucky he didn't give up a boatload of runs. 8 walks in 5 2/3 IP. 115 pitches and only 53 strikes. Anything below 60% strikes is shaky control. Under 50% is almost unheard of.
