Russia vs. Canada could be the best match up ever

I am going to side with Russia for a couple of reasons, The extra day of rest and having the advantage of last change, Russia is the home team by seed so they will be able to dictate the match ups and with those two top lines I think they will be able to find some holes.

If Russia jumps out to a lead I think the home crowd could hurt them, not by booing just by the pressure that will start to build.

Plus Canada has only looked real good to me in the 3rd period like last night against Germany the first ended 1 ? 0 then they just blew up a defeated German team in the third also swiss taking them to OT and even Norway they didn?t really crush till the third period, the first ended scoreless.

But I do think Canada is the most talented over team I just don?t think they get it done.

Also USA under 5.5

I think if you shut down the First line of Semin Ovie & Malkin then Russia is in trouble.....Canada's defense is suspect, but if there is a team in the tournament that has a worse defense it is Russia.

The US loss could be a the best thing that happened to Canada, it got Broduer out of the net, it forced Babcock to keep Sid and Iginla together, now they have the Richards Perry & morrow line to bug the shit out of the russian first line.......

i think they have to, they really made a mistake taking all superstars and no grinders....anxious to see sid vs. geno, should be an awesome game regardless!!!!!

i know i am a bit of a homer but i think the canadians should have went with Fluery in the net, he is most consistent in the BIG games....i am afraid luongo will fold under pressure and the sharks line will realize that these games are not regular season games and disappear!!!!
