Congrats to Texas.......they have 1 guy to thank and that's Vince Young......the guy beat SC by himself (although sc did a nice job of poor play calling, poor tackling, poor schemes, and bonehead moves).......WHAT A PERFORMANCE.....Vince Young was truly amazing......but i didnt see any of the changes scematically that i expected from carroll.....i expected more corner blitzes, more speed guys out there (db's), more pressure on him, and better tackling.......none of which happened.

The blowout for SC was there for the taking in the 1q, but as soon as sc missed the bomb on the wr pass, ran a qb sneak on 4th down, threw a pick in the endzone, and bush tried to latteral to a fb on the 15.....i knew this game would be tight all the way thru.

I also can't understand why lendale white was not fed the ball the entire 1h........it's like sc WANTED to force feed bush the ball......white was the key, texas couldnt stop him....yet sc NEVER went to him twice in a row until late in the 4th quarter.......white would have done three things 1) kept young off the field 2) gained 6-7 yards a pop 3) opened up the play action deep ball.......sc receivers were rarely open deep down the field and i believe they would have been had sc committed to white early and often.

For those who continue to rip the sc defense.......you can say the same thing about the texas defense....both got shredded but vastly superior offenses.....however anybody who watched sc this year would tell you that their defense was down compared to the past few years (despite being injured, the talent level was young and below the past few years).......ok, maybe not scott.

One final thing.....VY would be stupid to NOT come out this year....it's clear that his stock is at an all time high and would likely be picked in the top three......plus......while he still cant throw the deep ball and has poor mechanics.....he's too good for college football.......go get the money!

There were tons of corner blitzes called on Texas's last 2 drives and that didn't change anything VY was doing. He still made the plays. Nice to see you giving Vince some credit. He does have mechanics issues, but he is still a phenominal talent. He should definitely leave to go pro.

I definitely would've used White more as he was giving UT defense more problems as far as bringing him down.

Still the best game I've ever seen in college football.

that game ranked right up there with nd-sc this year.......truly and epic game and great effort by both teams.

despite both teams getting shredded on defense, they both got in some great shots (more by texas) they were just vastly inferior to those offenses.......i actually thought texas tackled fairly well....just that it was 6-10 yards downfield when white got the ball....but where they excelled was in pass defense and not letting the sc receiver run wild....every catch by a rec was followed with a hit save a few here or there.....

still convinced that this is a totally different game if sc goes up 17 or 21 zip in that 1st quarter.....my wallet wishes that happened, but then again the sports fan in me would have sat thru another rout as opposed to this great game..........good thing is the gf bought me the video ipod and i can download the game to the ipod........

off to college hoops......bear down arizona!

ummm bernie kosar, phillip rivers among others with poor mechanics....shhhhh.

Can't throw the deep ball?????? What are you basing this off of?

See the problem was that Mack Brown was trying to change him too much the past couple of years....

and before I forget TX has an excellent front line on offense and that counts for a lot.

almos everything vy thows beyond 20 yards in the air is a floater, waiting to be picked off

he didnt throw many last night and the few that he did could have been picked

most of his passes were to his te over the middle for 5 -10 yards then 5-10 yards rac or outs

a great college qb, a stud, size, speed and quickness....will he excel as an nfl qb????? who knows.....he'll see bigger, faster d-ends, linebackers and corners and defenses that he's never seen in college......his poor mechanics and lobs dont translate well in the nfl.......he's most likely to become michael vick.....exciting to watch with the ball...but duck when he throws it because it might hit you in the stands
