Miami -3 Like the Dolphins this week as they were looking ahead to this game last week. Enough has been said about Vinnie's lack of production in the west coast offense. The Jets have lost too many people and changed their defensive philosophy. Look for Miami to pound the ball against the Jets. 4 units
New England +4 Neither team scored last week but this week is a different story. After the injuries in the Monday night game Tampa was able to move the ball against the Eagles. Philadelphia with no real playmakers for wideouts and Stacey's holdout hurting them I look for the Pats to beat the Eagles straight up. 3 units
Carolina +9.5 Looking at a letdown off the Monday night game and all the traveling that the Bucs did in the exhibition season plays a factor here. The Bucs will struggle offensively in this game. Taking the Panthers for 3 units.
Green Bay -7 The Packers are an overrated team but last weeks victory for the Lions was deceiving as they gave up tons of yardage in their victory over the Cards. Although the Packers are short of wideouts this week, Favre will still have success against them. Favre was rusty last week as he hardly played in the exhibition season. Pack for 3 units.
Minnesota -8 This would be a 5 unit play if the Vikings had not played their Super Bowl last week. ( Tice has even painted his house green and gold.) This Bear offense is the worst I have ever seen. No offensive line, no running backs, and to top it all off Kordell Stewart at QB. Jauron got dealt a bad hand by the GM
They traded their run stopper and let go an excellent linebacker in free agency. Vikings 3 units
KC -3 The Chiefs at home looked like a much improved team on defense. Pittsburgh still suspect in the offense and defensive lines look for a Chiefs victory. 2 units
Cleveland +2 Ravens will take their lumps with a rookie quarterback. Clevelands defense played well last week. Browns 2 units.
Arizona +4.5 The Cards should be able to put up some points against Seahawks throw in the heat and I' ll take the dog. Holmgrens teams have always been poor road favorites. 2 units
St. Louis -3 Advantage when Bulger is playing because they go more conservative and run the ball with Marshall Faulk. San Fran is a little overrated and their not playing the Bears this week. Taking the Rams for 2.
